Question about the Lagoon

I was Browsing through the pictures section today and i saw 3 pictures of Iron Dragon in the Off Season (winter) Taking a look at the lagoon, the water it seems is drained out, and the depth of the water is a mere foot, if not less. Now i was wondering if this is the only spot where the the lagoon is very shallow, although i doubt many people will answer this, (unless you work at cedar point or visit during the winter when the water is drained, or whatever) Considering the water is usually a murky green. I know i have seen Carp next to the station on Iron Dragon a few years ago. (i havent been on the ride in about 3 years) But i was just wondering...

I know it has to be somewhat deeper around the PaddleWheel excursions where a boat regularly circles the island. But i would guess they would keep the water depth somewhat shallow for safety reasons on other area's where guests are only protected by a single railing. (Antique Cars in frontier town, the Mine Ride, and Mantis.) So if anyone can answer my question about water depths other then at the "Knot" Finale of Iron Dragon please do so.

it is shallower by the knot but i dont know how deep and there are still carp there.

I figured the carp were still there, but i'd imagine wherever the carp are, the water i shallow because with my fish knowlage (very small) carps are bottom dwellers and i guess a foot is pretty shallow... if the water wasnt so damn green maybe we could see the bottom in a few spots?

Well anyways, this is my quest before teh end of this year, just to find out how deep the lagoon is in certain spots if i have to jump in it myself!

which i most likely will not do, that water is like green and like... icky fish filled, i dont think i'll ever go in it.. or atleast by choice

its funny because the orignal water was natural lake brown then cp tried to dye it blue so it turned out horrible so they dyed it that scary green it is now

Really? thats cool, i never really looked at the water much... now that i saw those pics i think im going to pay alot more attention to it

At the end of the '99 season, they were taking volunteers to dig through the lagoon under mantis..it was the most disgusting thing I've ever done! They gave us these pant suit type things, which proved to be useless! They came up to just above our torsos, but the water was only a few inches below that, so anytime we moved, it went right down our suit! And then once it was there, it was there for good. We ended up covered in the stuff, and it took a good hour in the shower to get the smell off!

Endophrined, thanks dude, i figured the water was deeper there, it just seems like it gets deeper as i goes back into the lagoon, then as it nears the mine ride it goes shallow... but if you got anymore info, tell me dude i appreciate it
