Haven't reported to CP yet... Coming next Monday, 6 days! Just a quick question regarding the Coliseum Arcade... Last year I got hooked on a game called Dance Dance Revolution and I was wondering if the game was still in the arcade? If so, where is it, and was it changed to a different version of the game (i.e. 4th mix, DDR MAX)? Thanks whoever can help... Also, what new games have they added over the off-season? Looking forward to some new arcade games for the summer ;)

As you should know, 1st mix is in constant Flat mode, which means 1/8 and 1/16 notes are not different colors. It makes the play a little more challenging IMO. Like SSR mode in 3rd mix.
The machine is $.75 for 5 songs I believe it was, but there are only like 10 songs ON the mix, so take that for what it's worth. Also, you can unlock Paranoia 180 for your last song only, you cannot pick it before then.
Hope that answers your question, find me on AIM if not. BTW, ddrfreak.com is a good resource for DDR, learn it and use it.

The Arcade there at Cedar Point has always been one of my favorite parts of the park because I'm a big gaming nut. I wonder if they have Tekken 4 there yet or any of this year's newest games. I know that arcades are being zoned out by home systems, but there are still people making machines. Namco, Nintendo and Sega just combined forces to make a new arcade machine based on the Nintendo GameCube hardware, so there are still going to be at least a few more machines coming our way. I just hope CP gets them.
I have a question and wonder if anyone can help out. I'm a big pinball fan, and a couple years ago while hitting all the CP arcades, I noticed they had quite a lot of pinball machines, new and old. Then last year I couldn't find that many. In fact, the only one I really remember seeing is the Giant Pinball game in the back of the Coliseum Arcade. I may have seen the Mars Attacks one too, but I can't remember. I just know that a lot of my older favorites were no where to be found. Was I just not looking in the right place? Were they sold? Are they back this year? Thanks in advance.

Nobody tosses a Dwarf!!!
I haven't looked this year, but as far as I know all or nearly all of the remaining pinballs are in the Coliseum arcade near the back.
The decline of pinball is so odd to me, because I still think they're fabulous machines (I have a Jurassic Park machine at home and really would like the World Cup Soccer machine I've seen here and there). Yeah, they're a little more expensive to maintain, but they not only retain their original value for resale, they often exceed it!

I have no affiliation with this site. My only interest is to aid pinball fans in their quest to play.
They have all the old classics to the newer machines on an emulator. And it is free.
Visual Pinball and Visual PinMame.

Back to DDR, Natalie said:
The DDR machine there is okay I guess.
It's not even okay... it sucks. Yes, at least it is DDR, but US 1st Mix is probably the worst possible mix you will find, and CP doesn't maintain the machine like it should be. This year, the pad on the left almost never seems to have 4 working arrows, and the pad on the right is better but not by much. As a DDRer, I would love to see CP scrap that current machine for a Japanese one like 4th, 5th, or 6th Mix. Even though they are Japanese they are still easier to understand than US 1st Mix! Plus they have hundreds of songs!
By the way, Natalie is right about ddrfreak - by far the best DDR site on the net. You can AIM me too if you want.

I know plenty about DDR ;) I build custom-made platforms for the playstation... I personally would love to see a DDR Max or DDR Max 2 (not just an upgrade, but a new machine) I hate that darn US 1st, but I'm dissapointed to hear it hasn't changed... Oh well I'll take my pad and my playstation for Commons DDRing...

You should have seen the look on Tobe and my's face when we entered the arcade on Sunday and couldn't find any DDR machines!

They actual repaired a couple of the pins in the off season. Old Chicago, 4 million BC, and flash were working. I remember Pioneer not working as well as another one.
Mars attack is still their. (This machine isn't owned or maintained by CP)
Are their other pins outside of the main gameroom?
