Question about Camper Village/Light House Point

I am looking there about staying at CP and I was wondering if anybpdy can answer this question....

CFULPT

New campsite, electricity, water, sewer, cable, pull-through

6 people 68 Packages Available

Now does this mean where it says new campsite that you can bring a tent a camp outside and also stay in your RV. Since when I go we are bringing 8 people so some in the RV and some in the tent.

Just wondering if you can camp in a tent outside your RV and also have some people stay in the RV.

Thanks

Tent camping is not permitted at Camper Village. All people must stay in RV.

I think this has been covered in another thread, but...
You really wouldn't want to tent camp in Camper Village because when it rains there, a lot of the sites get flooded... Your tent would quickly become Noah's Ark.

Yea, I knew about the rai and stuff I was just seeing if it was allowed.

Nope.. Tent camping is not allowed anywhere in Camper Villiage or Lighthouse Point.

In the early 70's they used to allow tents, detached screen rooms, bikes, skateboards, etc.. Then it was either the mid or late 70's (I think) that a tornado went through part of Camper Village. Then NONE of these things were allowed. There are even certain rules pertaining to awnings with RVs. I know that storm had a lot to do with changing the rules although I'm sure there were many other factors too. I believe there are even rules pertaining to the type of camper you're allowed to bring in. I bet that insurance cost and policies has influenced this decision too. Probably more with the bikes, skateboards, etc.

We stayed at Lighthouse Point two summers ago and I remember seeing two people sleeping outside on the picnic tables at their camper. I'm sure this is not allowed either, but they got away with it. There is no place on Cedar Point property that accommodates 8 people, though I'm sure people sneak it all the time. Even camp sites are not allowed more than 6 people. It's a bummer. Makes it difficult to vacation with a large family. Breakers Express does have VERY inexpensive rooms, if you book now. The longer you wait, the more expensive they get. The cabins at Lighthouse Point used to accommodate 8 people, but I saw last year that they changed that too.

They are doing you a favor by telling you that you may not pitch a tent. I will go find some old pictures of camper village when the water was 3+ feet in some areas.

If you like sleeping at the bottom of a swimming pool then tent camping at Camper Village would be right up your alley.

I was there one time when the water was about that high. It had rained all that night, or at least most of it. I was quite young when it happened but I do remember wading through it. I can only imagine someone on an airbed floating down the road!!
We usually camp at Bayshore Estates Campground near Cedar Point. Two years ago, we stopped to have lunch at Fridays on our way back to camp. While eating, the hardest rainstorm (outside of a hurricane) I have seen seem to take over. Horizontal rain! We got to the campround. Our trailer was okay. We had put the awning down. Poor tent campers! We picked up someones tent (or what was left of it). All their pillows, clothes and food were sopping wet. This was repeated several places throughout the campground.
