Hey everyone, my wife and I are making our first trip to Cedar Point on Oct. 19-20 and will be staying at Breakers Express on the 19th. Since we will only be staying one night at Breakers, will we still be able to use the ERT on Friday and Saturday, or is it only good for one day? Thanks in advance for the help.
Hopefully someone else will fill in here, but I believe you just need your room key to get in (referred to as a resort identification card). So as long as you don't check out too early Sunday morning, and can talk them into giving it to you Saturday morning, I think you can get in.

Thanks for the info. I'll actually be there on Friday and Saturday though. If all goes as planned, we'll check in on Friday afternoon about an hour before the park opens for ERT, then check out before going to the park on Saturday morning. So if the room key is what I need to get in early, I won't have it on Saturday if I've already checked out.

Friday and Saturday are better days.I'd suggest calling. I know you have to have a room key to get in, I just don't know how it works when you want to get in the park after you have checked out.
Your room key is good through day of departure. I used that method last time I stayed.. I don't think they scan it either.
hm, im pretty sure you need youre key. when i stayed there, we got stamped, but i dont know if it's the same.
we got there at like 730 am. prettyyyyy cool =) !
it was raining, but millennium is all the better wet ! Everything isn't open, which kinda sucks and it's rather cold. But, that shouldn't effect you once youre aboard a coaster as excitement takes over !
This brings up an interesting point I have noticed staying at the "Resorts" a few times this year.
It seems to me that someone could keep their room key and get in for early entry all year. It also seems that someone could keep their parking pass, and use it for free parking all year.
Both times that I stayed in the resorts this year, as soon as the toll booth employee saw my breakers parking pass he waved me through. I didn't even have to slow down to have the dates checked. Also, the room key does not have any indicator of dates on it, so how can past guests be distinguished from current guests in the rush of early entry gate opening.
I never abused Cedar Point's policy, but it does make me question how easily someone could.

Well, the parking passes (at least last time I stayed at a CP resort) have an expiration date. I don't know how well this is checked at parking though.
I always thought you had to have the Resort ID, not just a room key, in order to get in. Do they swipe the room key to make sure it is still active?

We ask for the business card first with the dates on it. If they don't have it, then a room key will suffice, but the card is the preferred method. Technically, you can be refused entry if you don't have the card, but it's mostly up to the employee handling the situation.
