Put Your Hands Down!

On Xcelerator, it is strongly enforced to keep your head against the headrest, feet on the floor at all times, and to KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE LAPBAR-even more so on the launch. I have had the luxury of being punished by this because i decided not to listen to the rules and got booted off Xcelerator for the rest of the day. I just didnt know if you all knew this, and what you thought, and if TTD is going to be anything like Xcelerator, i would expect the same rules.
I raise my hands on Xcelerator all the time. I just raise them right as the ride begins to launch. If you sit there with your hands up before the launch, the ride ops will act all psycho like you're going to die. if you don't lower them with the 4 ride attendents and ride op shouting to keep your hands on the grab bar for your own safety, they will abort the launch. I've only seen 1 person disobey the ride ops' instructions, and it was a ride op on her day off. It was more of a joke though. the ride op could care less if she sees a few hands come up during the launch or top hat. its not like she's going to call security.

i wonder if the TTD ride attendents are going to strap you in personally like they do on xcelerator. all you have to do is plop into the seat, and they'll come collect all loose articles, fasten seatbelts, TIGHTEN seatbelts (and I mean as much as possible), and staple you. some of the ride ops don't care if you lower the lap bars (heck, the safety signs say to), but other will get mad.

I doubt that CP will handle the operation of Dragster as crazy as Knotts for sake of capacity. Think of the time saved if the ride ops don't have to push down lap bars and fasten peoples seatbelt personally. I bet they'll handle it no different from Millennium Force. They'll just check to make sure everything is tight and fastened once the people fasten their own belts and pull down their bars. Loose articles probably won't be allowed in line either.
I'm willing to bet NOTHING will be allowed in line. Anything comming loose 120 mph is going to hurt and I'd expect the big staple this summer.

So much for any airtime...and I wouldn't recommend trying to push yourself out of your seat either.
There will be airtime.. there is on Xcelerator.. and they staple you.

I am sure they will have lockers at the beginning of the line like they have on other rides like the force.

I doubt the cubbies... they are really only because they must be strict on WT about absolutely no loose articles, and the cubbies are for the people who don't use the lockers. Plus since it takes a relatively long time to load a train on WT, there is some extra time for people to walk over and put stuff in. On Dragster, they won't need to worry as much about loose articles, and they will also need to do everything they can to get the quickest loading times possible, and cubbies would cause a problem with that. So I think it will be much like MF...

Good point, but maybe they could have them before you go into the station and then someone moves them over to the other side or something? I dunno, it'll probably just be the lockers like you say.

When I went to CP last year, they didn't allow ANY loose articles in line for WT. The only thing that they allowed was shoes that they put in the cubbies.

Not that we should rely too heavily on the artists rendition, but upon close examination, you can see a locker area right after the entrance to the ride.

Thanks.
I think the reason knotts is so anal about pushing the lap bars down so you cant breath, and tightening the seatbelt is because they've had about 3 deaths, and several incidents in the past couple years...and if cedar point is generally leinient about that stuff, then they'll probably be the same for TTD.
