And the capacity is what it's all about at the park. If there was ever a 4-hour line, you're talking about 6,400 people in that line. Considering most May crowds, regardless of new attractions, I don't see more than 25,000 to 30,000 people that day, and that's shooting high. So if there were a 4-hour line, you're saying that fully one fifth of all the people in the park will be in line.
Not gonna happen.
In fact, the combined theoretical capacity of all coasters, plus Power Tower, Skyride, etc., is somewhere in the neighborhood of 22,000 people per hour. Considering that there will always be people eating, walking the midways, watching shows and riding flat rides, it just ain't gonna happen.
That's why even on busy days, the AVERAGE wait for a big ride is generally not more than one to one and a half hours. And before anyone says, "Well I waited X hours for ride Y," note I said average. They're often shorter or longer.
To summarize, based on math and prior experience, the line won't get longer than two hours.
