PROJECT 07 Goes Upside Down!

Be thankful for the picture updates we get. Walt, Doug, Jeff and anyone else providing photo updates do have a life outside of Project 2007.

If you want a recent photo update, go to funcoast.com. They have great pictures of the completed corkscrew.

If you're not getting photos often enough, go to the park yourself, or quit complaining.

Well besides that, taking pictures for PointBuzz doesn't exactly pay the bills. I'm sure Walt has a life outside this site.

Oh my, Mark. I like a guy who shows some authority! ;-)

I was wondering why this thread was still here. Maybe Walt's having dinner with his family, or getting the kids reading to start school....

This just in, Raptor has inversions and goes beyond 55MPH!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Leslie. It just gets frustrating trying to find real update information on this site and have to read all the complaining. And I'd guess those that aren't getting their daily pic fix don't even bother to pay for PointBuzz premium to help with the cost of running this site.

Hey! There's no call for using logic here. ;)

Did you really watch them put that peace in? Goody! Another peace of information. All we are saying, is give piece a chance!

I was waiting for someone to post that. I know I sure wasn't going to. Yours was way more funny than mine would've been anyways. :)

Let me supply the peace de resistance!

Maybe you guys are just spoiled, and maybe that's our fault. No other web site, newspaper, radio or TV station have even approached the level of coverage we've given this thing. I don't live at the Palace Theatre. I do have a full time job, a full time family, not to mention just getting back last night from a business trip to Little Rock. I depend on contributions from members to fill in the gaps.

I'm convinced that if we went to hourly updates, someone would complain about not seeing what happened 30 minutes ago.

Good call Walt, Good call. There are some of us who very much appreciate the job everyone with site has done for us.

Ride-on

Walt,

Don't let the comments of a few in any way diminish the pride you should have of the construction coverage - the huge majority of the members have the good sense not to complain and have nothing but appreciation for your work.

A sincere thank you!

And people have asked me why I don't run my own website. As has been proven here...I just don't have the patience for all of it. Kudos to Walt and Jeff...many, many times over.

I very much appreciate all the updates. Yes, we are very spoiled by getting so many QUALITY updates from here. Of course, the more we get, the more we want. But, I understand how much time it takes to have updates like you guys do. I would never complain about a lack of updates on here because we already get way more than anyone else.

Keep up the great work everyone!

I am thinking P2007 will have several barrel rolls. The area over by the WWL station that has several footers that are equal distance from each other, and raise upwards/downwards slightly look similar to the space needed for colossus at Thorpe Park.

Looking at the funcoast cam this morning...to me it looks like a second barrel rool will be appearing by the end of the day.... just my 2 cents though

Check out ExtraPoint! at cedarpoint.com for the newest desktop wallpaper. Awesome shot of the first corkscrew element.

I knew Walt had to be spending time with family or something that doesn't relate to Pointbuzz.com.

Mark: It does get a bit frustrating, doesn't it?

I get the feeling that Project 2007 might be similar to "Speed Monster", an Intamin coaster in Norway.

Take a look... what do you guys think ?

triangular track, low inversions.... hmmmmmm....

i wonder....

I think it'll be a cross between Goliath & Stormrunner. That would be fun!
