No way, you mean that the media was overhyping a situation? That's impossible.

...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!
Does anyone know anything about Dan Keller?
That is a good question vince. Those from WOF don't like him that much, seeing as he has picked the worst colors for the rides. I would think he is OK. Can someone clear up DK for us.

I doubt that his color preference has anything to do with his ability to be the general manager of a theme park.

As a relatively new FUN unitholder (since 1/2000), I was pleased to hear this (8% growth in dividends in about a year is great!), because this is exactly what I was hoping for when I bought in. What I still don't understand is why the price is continuing to languish around 18. Between the original unit repurchase program and the one just announced, positive changes in management and earnings, I was hoping for a little bit of growth in price by now. But good things come to those who wait, so I continue to buy up units at the lower price to reap the rewards when the stock starts to grow again. FUN is definitely a long-term buy and hold investment, that's for sure, and that's the way I prefer to do my investing.

TO quote Jeff's headline:
"Cedar Fair profits up 8%, Keller officially heading to Cedar Point"
I see no evidence to support this statement. All I see is increased dividends. Increased dividences does not directly mean increased profits. Inversely, decreased dividends does not directly mean decreased profits either. Please, let me know where you get this profit increase of 8%. Are you referring to figures other than the dividend increase?
Funny how you only make an appearance when you want to correct me. That's contribution right there.
Your point is valid, in that the headline is not entirely accurate, however you don't pay out more with less money. That's not rocket science. If I give you $10 you can't give me $12 (you could, but how stupid would that be).
You got me on a technicality, good for you. Want a cookie now? You know what I meant... Cedar Fair is in fact having a record year, just as I said in a previous thread.

Gee Jeff,
After record capital spending, they had better have a record year. And yes, I do want a cookie.
