Just wanted to give everyone a heads up about the profile pictures. Please keep the pictures under 600 pixels wide. Also, please make sure they are actually a picture of you and not a graphic, favorite ride, etc.

Walt:

I'm not trying to be an ass, but your current picture is not of you. I could be wrong, unless you are a cat.

I believe he's referring to the picture found in a user's profile, not their avatar. It's an awesome avatar, btw. ;) *** Edited 5/18/2004 5:17:00 PM UTC by Space Cowboy***

Ok, I tried for the first time to upload a profile photo. This involved wading into my merciless and rather large photosuite program so I could resize it(I am horribly inept at things like that). Is each and every photo viewed and approved? That little kid is really cute Walt, congrats. :) *** Edited 5/18/2004 7:59:08 PM UTC by macho nachos***

He's 22 months ... and already just a hair under 36". He graduated from hand-held infant quickly over the winter. Here's a picture of him from opening day taking his first solo Cedar Point ride. Growing too fast ...

If your picture has been posted, it's been approved. No need to change it.

OK, I'm all good with the profile pictures, but what about avatars? I have one that I want to use but it measures in at 7.5 KB instead of the 5K that is listed on the account editing page. Would this be allowed or is that a strict, no way around it, rule.

Scratch that last part and forget I even asked. I figured out how to resize it using The GIMP. *** Edited 5/29/2004 12:19:05 AM UTC by Monster Ride Op***

From dictionary.com:
Avatar
1. An image representing a user in a
multi-user virtual reality (or VR-like, in the case of
Palace) space.

In the case of CP Place, and most other forums, an avatar is the small picture that is shown on the right side of someones post, if they have one. If you can't see any then check your account settings for the Hide Vanity Items selection and unselect it.
