My problem is this, I get internet access wirelessly and yesterday it went down. When it went back up my speed was 1.0 Mbps (normally it is 11.0 Mbps). I went to CP's web site and where the sky line would be was something telling me that I did not have enough speed or some thing to run the way it was suppose to. It said to click on it to run a different way.
Now my connection is good like it was before (11.0 Mbps) but I can't watch the trains go around the tracks and the bottom is slightly different too. Does any one know how I can change it back? I tried disconnecting and connecting and it didn't work. I know its not very important but I'm kind of mad I can't figure it out.
...I am using Windows Internet Explorer 7 by the way.
RIDE ON, and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON...
I had, and still have, this problem as well. Only, it has nothing to deal with the Cedar Point site, and everything to deal with the internet connection.
There was actually two problems I was having. One was simply an interrupted or weak wireless signal that gave out. This was easily solved by adjusting the locations of the router(s) and wireless adapter(s).
The problem with the 1.0mpbs was actually an issue with our phone line. Through much research and time spent on the phone, I discovered that this problem tends be due to a reduced voltage in the phone line (if using DSL). When the phone rings, and sometimes at other times, the voltage in the phone line drops enough that you sufficiently lose speed in your connection. While you are actually still connected, the speed is so low that you may have difficulty loading graphic-intense pages, or any pages at all in some cases. This is why you still see a connection of 1.0mpbs. SBC/AT&T still have yet to find the problem in my household, but are in agreement on the problem (we have the same problem on the hard-wired computers in our house, as well). They believe that there might be a mis-wiring in the house or at the street but have not been able to locate it. This is all assuming you use DSL, of course.
The problem is completely sporadic. You can be fine for weeks, or have problems every 2 minutes with the speed dropping. I have noticed the problem gradually get worse though since it first started happening.
If it happens again, I recommend resetting your modem. In some cases, it may help to reset your router as well. If you continue to have the problem, I recommend you contact your internet provider.
Edit: Also, on a side note, be sure your wireless router is at least 5-10 feet away from any computer monitor. That sometimes causes similar problems.

Yes, we have them on all of our phones. AT&T claims it's normal for there to be a slight drop, but that it shouldn't be anything significant. Yet, the tests they've done have shown that that appears to be at least part of the problem... they simply don't know how to fix it.
