Greetings!
I see that hothitz started a post for a pre-season gatherhing in Michigan and some responses suggested that there be on in Pennsylvania (specifically Pittsburgh) as well. Is there anybody who is interested in a pre-season Pennsylvania gathering? If so, I would gladly organize something. I have to admit it would be neat to meet some of the faces behind the names since I am rather new to the board (well, I have been here for nearly eight months or so but have yet to attend any of the social functions). Anyway, let me know what you think and be sure to suggest dates and places!

I could be interested in a Pittsburgh gathering, seeing as I live right here. Might I suggest Dave & Buster's for the "where"? ;)

I'm up for it. If I were already in Pittsburgh, I'd have made the haul to Sandusky, but Harrisburg is a bit of a stretch.
If you do a Burgh thing, I'm in.

I'm all for D&B's in Pgh. I still have some coupons to spend.
Yes yes--I agree that Dave & Buster's would be a lovely place to have the gatherhing (assuming everybody coming is over 21 as I assume there is still an age requirement there but I do not know for sure as I have not been there in about six months or so). Anyway, is there anybody else who would be interested in attending?

...or we could just meet at Kennywood on Preview day (4/14/01)! ;)

Now that's a plan. I'm in. ;)

How dare you vanquish the Steel Phantom without his consent? Fear the Phantom's Revenge.
I was at D&B's two weeks ago on a Saturday night(which was unbelievable crowded) and there were kids running around everywhere.
Kennywood sounds great, but I can't make it that day.
Well, being that the word on the street is that Phantom's Revenge may not be ready for opening day, perhaps we could push it back to the end of April?

Yes Kennywood might be a better idea and I agree that the "Phantom's Revenge" might not be up and running as it does not seem like much work has been done. Kind of makes one wonder who the folks at Cedar Point can build a giga-coaster from scratch in the off season while the folks at Kennywood have trouble revamping an old coaster in the off season. Anyway, I am in for Kennywood--maybe late April or early May? Also, how come this topic got moved here and the folks from Michigan are allowed to make their arrangement in the "general" room? Do I sense some discrimination here? Just Kidding!

OWNAGE!! I can only be there if it's before April 16 though!! Well, I won't be 21 until October so we have to have it at Kennywood tho...doh! I will keep checking this space for details, goooooo City of Champions! :o)
And ours is in the RIGHT place, those Michiganders are backwards, bahahahaha!

Dave & Buster's is open to the under-21 crowd before 10pm (I think). There's definitely a cutoff time where they announce that anyone under 21 must leave. They MAY also have requirements about people under 21 being accompanied by someone over, but I'm not sure (I'm a decade past that particular milestone...)
I DO like the idea of a GTTP gathering at Kennywood, though ;)

Hmmm...not sure there is a lot of interest in this meeting? At least not as much as I thought. Anyway, I still think that we should try to get some people together at Kennywood and maybe (for those who are true fans of "Dave and Busters") we could head to "Dave and Busters" after or something. Any thoughts on a date?
