Power Tower Speil

I don't know about the other ride since I don't listen to them but yesterday I heard Power Tower's. There's one line that says eating, drinking and smoking is prohibited while riding. Will somebody tell me how you can drink or eat on Power Tower. I can see them putting this line on Giant Wheel, CP & LE Railroad, Sky Ride, and other slower rides. But come on a drop ride or space shot ride.

you could choke on gum or small candies, & mabey the just dont want you to throw your lunch tray off the top...

How can you eat or drink on Power Tower? Uh, walk through the line with a drink, sit down, hold onto and drink the entire way up the drop tower (and maybe take a few sips), and decide to discard it at the top. Easy to do...not easy to get by the employees though.

I think they're just refering to gum, or small candy or something you could easily hide in your mouth without the ride ops seeing it. And with what happened on Raging Bull, they have good reason.

You can thank the lawyers for lines like that. You would think it is common sense that you do not eat, drink, or smoke on the ride, but I guess the lawyers think differently. Also, I think that spiel is pretty bad, especially since it makes it really hard to hear the op that assigns you a seat.

The automated spiel on PT sucks, just 'cause I used to do a much better one live, and in-person back in '99:

When I open the gates,

The thing that really sucked about the autospiel is that we still had to spiel to guests while they were waiting in the pre-loading chutes.
