Power Tower queue

Does it ever fill totally up anymore?

What has been the longest wait for anyone this year?

2 minutes. The key is to hit it when the ride first opens. Work your way to the back of the park from there.
The longest I have waited was 25 minutes and that was for the Space Shot.

I prefer that side over the Turbo Drop because there is more airtime. You gotsa love that airtime.

ddogg, I disagree with your strategy. I say hit MF first by all means neccesary (unless you don't get there right when the park opens).

That is so true, ddog. Since it's capacity on the drop side isn't too high, you can run around a couple times for walkons. From there, at least earlier this year, you could then go to Magnum and have your own ERT.

The wait for today (Oct. 13) was about 1 hour and 45 minutes. The park was very crowded and I have not seen it this packed in a long time.

How much of the queue was filled up, with the 1 hour and 45 minute wait?
It said the wait was an hour and forty-five minutes. We waited much less, like 20 minutes for the space shot. It may have been less than that. I'm guessing 1 hour. It was filled back to the dj booth.

I was in the park in early may. As I entered the queue the ride op stopped me and warned me that it was a 45 minute wait. I looked passed him and saw about 10 people in line. I kind of stared at him with a confused look on my face.
Sounds like Raptor Jo a couple weekends ago... ;) What she was really saying is "No Raptor for you!" :)

Last season, we were one of the few crews in the park that would leave the sign low (or where it is supposed to be actually) to get more people to come into our line! :) Magnum's sign only went to an hour last season if we had people spilling out of the queues onto the midway. Full queues was 45 minutes. If someone asked I usually said 50 minutes knowing full well we had the platform packed as well.

i think that the power tower entrance should be relocated closer to the exit. corkscrew would always be the one hit with all the "is this the power tower entrance?" questions. it really ticked me off. so to make things a lot more convenient the entrance should be moved. just a plain obvious opinion.

Not that I was ever allowed to work entrance, but from what my crew said, the main question that was asked down there was, "Is this the line for Corkscrew?" Anywhere you have two rides close together, or one that goes near the other one's entrance, people are going to think that one is the other.
And Crash, an hour and 45 min wait would be well past the DJ booth.

No doubt! I wonder if having better signage at some of the entrances would help or whether people would still be to unobservant to notice. By better signage I mean something along the lines of what MF and Raptor have, not JUST those nasty a-frame and safety signs that are everywhere else.

I agree about the signage. A little arched sign over the entrance that says "Magnum" or "Power Tower" might be enough. CP has to be the only park that doesn't have signs like this for some of the major rides. I mean, the last five coasters have them, and they're all pretty cool, but Magnum, Corkscrew Gemini and Iron Dragon might as well be rest room lines.

the sad thing was during the middle of the summer iron dragon had a longer line than magnum
Speak for yourself! :) That is never a sad sight when I am visiting the park! More Magnum rides for me!

Not as sad as hearing people in the Magnum queue asking what they're in line for.

The summer it opened, I went on a saturday *ugh*

I waited.... 2 hours for that ride.....

I remember the days when the line stretched way back into the queue by the Perimeter Road fence that haven't been used in like 6 years. I didn't wait that long because I was too short **sniff** but it sure is amazing to think how far the park has come in just a decade or so.
