So does any one know how to build roller coaster modles for under $100?
Also has anyone seen a model of an air thrust ride, like Power Tower, just cause I'm really antcy and miss it. And if I can't build a roller coaster model then I will build Power Tower.
P.S. I have tryed about every roller coaster model site.

Do a search on 'Faller Power Tower' and you'll find exactly what you're looking for. It only has one tower instead of four...but it might cure your craving. :)
If you really want to go wild, Faller (which is a German manufacturer of HO train models) has 50+ amusement park ride models...including a few coasters. For plastic models, they aren't too cheap....anywhere from $25 to $300....but they are very realistic and most are motorized and/or have light kits that come with them.
Have fun!

VertiGo Rides - 82
The detailing could be done with various types of plastic wire and the sort. Getting the track to flow smoothly will be a big challenge. It seems best to build the whole layout with two rail track with jury rig supports so I can later add the rest of the track peice by peice. That might make it easier to smoothen out the track and make the sweeping banked turns.
Will I want it operational? You bet. Elevator lift. I won't be able to use a wire rope because it tends to hold its position when bent at this small of a scale. Another type of rope will do. Pulleys are easy to make. The drum might be awkward but it won't be too hard. The gears will be easy to do, but an effective gear ration might take some time. It needs to give me very good slow speed operation and go fairly fast. I'll probably go with a fractional horsepower universal motor for the lift. These motors are in blenders, food processors, and other higher powered kitchen device. Use AC or DC voltage up to 120 volts. I would have to isolate the field and amature to get reverse operation probably just use a relay that simply reverse the amature to the field. I would use several preset speeds proabably using indiviual transformers with voltages for disired operation. The kicker wheels would be some toy tires and DC motors.
I found some small inductions sensors, but they are $20+ each. Magnetic reed switches that work in the field of a rare earth magnet mounted on the train will work fine. On one side of the track I will have the regular sensors and rare earth magnets mounted the entire length of the train. On the other side will be block clear sensors with rare earth magnets only in the back of the last car. I will probably use TTL intergrated circiuts to control it.
As for $1000, I wish. :)
