Power Tower lights not working

Anyone notice that over the past week the lights began not cycling? After the storm last week when they lost power the top portion had 2 of the lights stuck..one on green and the other on white. As of yesterday I noticed that they are all set to solid white.
yeah, I noticed that too. It looked very Italian!

That's what they get for buying Vari-Lite products. LD's that I've met over the years hate everything they've ever made.

what would you suggest Jeff? Martin, Phoebus, ETC, High-End, Clay Paky?

Okay, so I am being sarcastic. But you are right, Vari*Lite was probably not the company to go to for this sort of lighting need.

I think this is more of what Cedar Point needs

(I was on the road to being a theatrical and concert LD... I somehow ended up on this detour called life)

Yeah, I wanted to go down that road too until I decided making a living would in the long run be more fun. ;) When I was still in college and in to it, Vari-Lite was pretty much the only game in town, and at the time I think you still had to rent everything, including the operator.

I don't know about the other brands, but I did get to touch and play with the High-End stuff at IAAPA in 2000. The enclosures for the units used on Millennium Force are like little tanks! We've seen how reliable they have been even in to the third season, so I suppose it would make sense to use those. After all, they should have some spares since VertiGo fell d... I mean... was removed.

Being a LD, they should have used the High End Fixtures, and I am sure they would have gone down that road, except at that time H.E. did not have an architectural fixture like that on the market. The EC-1 came out about a year after PT was built and at the time, Vari*Lite was the only game in town that had an automated fixture with a color changing option.

Hard to believe, but 99% of the architectural fixtures available now, are very recent (with-in the last 2 to 3 years). High End does not even make the units on MF any longer, they have a new version (EC-2).
