Power Tower Construction

I've been looking around for Power Tower construction pictures and I can't seem to find any sites with them. Does anyone know of any sites with the construction photos?

Here's a short video clip of what it looked like at the end of the 1997 season.

I never knew that Iron Dragons second drop was so close to the midway.

I remember going to CP for the first time when they had all four towers standing without the top piece on.

Did you notice they labeled the Corkscrew as The Magnum XL 200 in the photo caption?

What's really scary is they have an institute for Steel Tubes. Sorry I can't type more, I have to go to the concrete floor meeting.

whats even scarier is the cost of the membership!:

Cover - The looping tracks of Cedar Point's Magnum XL-200 coaster frame the Ohio park's new Power Tower. Both rides contain hundreds of tons of HSS.

Yep, they mislabeled Corkscrew.

Forget coasterbuzz club! I'm joining the steel tubing institute. I wonder I can get free samples! They better have a dang good convention for $3500. Can I hear steak and caviar buffet?

I think it's funny how the construction worker (in one of the pictures from that pdf) thinks he's cool because he is on the top of the Power Tower. The other guy looking up and him is probably thinking "what the heck is he doing?!?"(I'm easily amused....can't ya tell?)

I can't open the pdf, it says save the file and I did it but when I open it its just a Microsoft Word document with letters and symbols.

CedarPtRage,

FYI, the gentleman standing on top of PowerTower is Stann Checketts, the owner of S&S, the company that made the ride.

Guess he just wants bragging rights for standing on top!

.. I have a picture of him standing on top of the structure once it was placed on top too..

.. also have one of him on top of "Big Shot" at Vegas.

Stan is an interesting man.. spent several days chatting with him when Vertigo was being built...

There was an interesting article about Stan in Rolling Stone magazine about a year and a half ago I think. They had a picture in there of him standing on top of the completed PT structure. The article says he climbs to the top of all of his rides when they're built.
