OKay i had this random thought and was wondering how you guys feel and if it was possible! Could they but things on PT to allow you to stand instead of sit? Such as Mantis seats w/ out the (evil) bycicle seats! Is it possible? All I know is it would be fun!
no.

Well first the bicycle seats hold you in. It is not possible to discard them. For that reason I don't think it would be fun. Since you can't do it without a bike seat you would most likely get hurt and would be walking funny for a while. :)

That would be alot of stress on your legs.

Why?? I think the ride is great the way it is..They already have Mantis which lets you feel the rush of standing..PT wasn't designed for the purpose of standing..It was designed to let you experience a Free fall or a rocket blast and screw with gravity.. Just my $.02

OKay, it was just a thought!
Well Intamin is bulding a standup freefall this year in England.
He wasn't saying let's stand up on Power Tower. He said can the seats be replaced by a lift that would allow you to stand.
By my vote is the ride is awesome as it is...it's one of my favorites.
Of course you could always go to california and ride the free fall that doesn't strap you in. You could get the experience of standing (at least until you hit the ground)
***just another morbid thought from me;)***
A word about that California freefall...
After the incident, I rode the one down at Kentucky Kingdom. I think I have a pretty good idea what happened (rider submarined) and I am pretty well convinced that (a) the park did nothing wrong, and (b) the real key is that the kid was sitting forward in the seat...on top of the molded hump at the front edge of the seat...when the incident happened. I am not convinced that the kid was intentionally in what turned out to be an unsafe position.

I like the ride the way it is due to the fact that part of the fun is having your feet hanging in the wind so far up. Now if they could turn you so you are laying down looking at the ground that may make for a better ride.
Personally, I don't feel the park was responsible either.
