Power Station

Do any of you think that Cedar Point will change the Power Station to a "Dragster" themed gift shop? Because it is just right across from where the station will be.

I sure hope not...I like that store, and I think PT deserves to keep its own store. Maybe they'll just build a new store :)

Six Flags: The AOL of Theme parks...

Or maybe they will name #16 "Power Launch" and then the 'Power Station' will work for both rides!!! Hee hee!

"Twisted Sister" is the name of the new rollercoaster at Cedar Point for 2003. Just watch!

May they will make a new Power Station closer to the exit of Power Tower and make the old one the (Dragster) Station.
Maybe they will keep the station the same place, and the same name because the name Power Station really applies to both, in my opinion. They could also add "Dragster" merchandise in the window as well as PT merchandise.

Launch: Tophat: Twistage: Brakes...

...Denial is an ugly thing.

In the front window there is two of the towers that Power Tower has on each side. On one of the sides they could keep the Power Tower one and on the other they could add a replica of part of the dragster ride so it would be half and half.
I agree that there should be 2 stores. PT is a popular ride and should keep its own store. By the way, there's already a coastr called Twisted Sister. Its a good name for 16, though.

Actually MF 310 there is no roller coaster called twisted sister. There used to be one but now it is called twisted twin I think it was due to some legal debate over the name but I am not sure.

And #16 will not be called twisted sister

You are mostly correct, but there is a pair of coasters at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom that are called Twisted Sisters. Pretty good ride by the way.
Oh man, my mistake, I just checked the Six Flags website and that was the one that had been changed. I humbly withdraw my remark.
yep:-)

I think the stores can share products.

How much new stuff can they get that they need another right near Power Station.

I do see a renaming of the store. Maybe to the new ride, or maybe something featuring both rides.

Cedar Point's best bet would be to change the name of the store. Power Tower doesn't need its own store.

Its a six Year old ride, if Magnum doesnt have its own store, Power Tower sure as hell doesn't need its own anymore. I can definetly see it being changed to somthieng along the lines of "The Garage".

You're missing something here Ejector. It has nothing to do with which ride is better and deserves it's own stand.

It has to do with product placement. Power Station is the only walk-in gift shop between Pagoda and the beggining of Camp Snoopy (hat's and such is more of a specialy shop and doesn't count). You need to remind people that they want to buy things to remember thier day.

This does not only apply to parks. In retail, open space is a bad thing. You need to keep people thinking about what they want to buy. If you notice as you walk aroudn the park, there are very fwe places you can stand and not see at least a cart to buy a souviner or something to eat.

It's placement. Magnum has the large store attached to the Gemini Gaming area. Everyone who walks out of Magnum gets a visual sight of that store.

Did anyone notice how at close to dark the light was on in the Power Station. Could it be that they are redoing it inside to be for the new ride. Just a thought.
