Power Outage 8/24

12:00 pm Stuck on Gemini's lift. They said the back half of the park has lost power. Eerily quiet.

At least it is not a water main break.

Good thing you weren't on Steel Vengeance because we never would have known about the outage. Be safe.

The water park is out as well. People walking down the slides. Looks like we're getting ready for a walk down.

At least its the first day of the OH v MI food truck wars, so people will still be able to eat. (Bonus that its not CP food)

Power restored!

Power must still be out in parts of the park as there are riders on the catwalk on top of Valravn leaning on the railing, apparently enjoying the view, waiting for their turn in the funicular.

Well for once I'm glad I'm not at the park.

I was there when the power went out the first time this season, and the waterpark was running, but this time it isn't.

The line at Guest Services is steadily growing!

We're having a good time in the parking lot. We were in line for Millennium Force when it went out.

Power was also out in parts of Sandusky itself - and a good chunk of downtown, but it didn't appear to stretch into Perkins Township much (if at all). We lost power in my office near the library and courthouse, but there were no interruptions where my wife was at out near the Sheriff's office and county fairgrounds.

Seriously, what happened? Why is the power out?

Sometimes power goes out. Storms can take it out. Power lines can be down. Transformers have problems. Haven't seen a reason given for this outage. Looks like about 9000 people in Erie County are without power. Wonder if they count CP as one?

Channel 13 in Toledo reported there was an issue with a power substation.

I feel so defeated. The Twitter handle is the same and everything, except it’s in all capital letters haha. Not having a verified check mark should’ve been the big clue but I just didn’t think about it.

I was/am confused by that too since Twitter handles should not be case sensitive

I know rides going down sucks and all but the post on twitter by the person complaining they had to spend an hour and a half at Hotel Breakers "doing nothing" made me laugh. Did they not notice the beach?
