Ride on, MrScott!
I was waiting in line for the magnum last year when they stopped the car while it was on its way up the chain lift. One of the workers then walked all of the way to the top (or pretty close) and started talking to some of the riders. She then walked down and back into the station with a nice camera. All of the workers were pretty mad since this caused a delay of 5-10 minutes. And then when the riders train came back to the station they said he wouldnt be allowed to get his camera back.
I also heard the same thing happening this year on the blue streak

That's nice to hear CP is keeping the cameras. I honestly think if they're going to go through the effort of stopping a ride and taking the camera, they should do more. When the rider comes back to the station and asks for their camera back, escort them out of the park without a refund. Six Flags says they will eject people for using cameras or cell phones while on a ride. They stop the ride, take the offending device and then give it right back after the ride. Truly ridiculous if you ask me.
That's pretty funny, because when I was at Six Flags America two weeks ago, the operators on Superman were actually encouraging people to take videos with their cell phones. In 5 rides I saw at least 3 phones fly through the air, and two people got hit in the face with them.
I did however kinda like the ride op's response when these people asked them when they could get their cell phones back. "Never. We don't go out and pick up your crap if you can't hold onto it."
That place was a trash hole anyway.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

For safety reasons, taking pictures, videotaping and filming on rides are prohibited.
And hopefully your hat blows off in the process.
Safety of what? the hat would hurt more than the camera. the cameras the size of a dice. If i find some way to even hurt someone with it off the ride then i'll stop useing it.
and it's not being stupid. But call it what you want.

I dont know but all these references to stupid peoples hats blowing off reminds me of a part in my favorite movie....Smokey and the Bandit
Junior : My Hat blew off Daddy...
Buford : I hope your goddamn head was in it..
Sorry had to say it...and that goes DOUBLE for the dumbass with the camera on the bill of his hat..
