POV. The good, the bad, the obscenely shaky

I absolutely love POV videos that parks release. Gets me in a good mood especially now. Wondering why so many of these coaster lovers youtubes have the absolute worst POV self shot videos. Am I the only one who thinks these are awful? Most parks have their own high quality ones now, so why bother filming garbage. Also, for the parks who don't have POV videos please take this time to make them.

Probably because the parks don’t allow filming on rides on the first place so they are trying to hold a phone and take video with a non-mounted camera?

Let the parks take POV videos. They have professional cameras that are mounted securely to the train, likely with no riders.

More should be like this.

Because people want views on their YouTube channel and they think a video with the title "4K Ultra Awesome POV Best Version" will get those views.

This is why I try to limit the youtube channels I view to park official, or sites that I know obtained permission from the park on media days to film. I don't want to give views to people who have obviously broken park rules to obtain a s**t POV.

Unless it's an old ride, like old GL stuff or rides that don't exist anymore. Gotta do what I can to get my Big Dipper fix. lol That and most POV videos shot pre-2010 seem to just be terrible no matter what.
