Most people believe that it is replacement wood for the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. *** Edited 10/15/2005 5:12:40 PM UTC by DBCP***

Yea, looks like it. It looks it's it's been pre-stained.
Shame they never stained some of the wood they added to the ride a few years ago. Looks like crap.

well they might keep with the atmosphere back there in that part of the park, so i guess i could see a woodie going up.
And I bet you $10 you will say its gonna be a screamin' swing.
"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"
Ok. Back to reality. There is not that much wood. I hadn't heard the CMR wood replacemet yet, but that makes the most sense to me. The smallest pieces that I saw were 2x6's. There were also 4x6's and 6x6's.

It would be cool if Cedar Point used the wood to cover the support of the screamin' swing to keep the charm of the area.
You never know it could be a GCI woodie. The wooden track could be hear, but the steel supports havent come yet. It's wishful thinking but it could happen.
Uh... if you haven't been paying attention, Mine Ride and Gemini both have been replaced little by little in every off-season.
And if you think there's some big wood coaster coming, you're obviously ignoring that big hunk of steel in the Soak City lot.

And you've also been ignoring the rebar in the lot by the big hunk of steel under the tarp. Check out the Valleyfair construction pics and all of the rebar being used in the footers for their screaming swing. http://www.valleyfair.com/news/the_scoop/construction_gallery.cfm
Those footers are huge. The ride takes up more space than I originally thought it would.
in my mind, we don't need inymore flat rides, we need a new wood coaster, im not the biggest fan of wood coasters, but we need a new one, its been steel steel steel, so how bout a change and lets get a woodie. the scriming swing is to similar to maxair, so why not wait to get that, wee need a woodie!
Edit: I was just looking at the pictures again, and from the shape of the metal under the blue tarp, it looks as if we are gettin a screaming swing, d@mn, i really was wishing for a woodie sometime soon. if you compare the shape to the picture on valleyfairs website, they are the same, so from my perspective we are getting another flat ride. :'(
