Possible New Ride In 2001

If anyone saw the Toledo 13 news the other day, a report said that Cedar Point would be getting a new ride/attraction in 2001, but it won't be revealed until late November...I also agree with whoever said they were disappointed at the reaction of folks after the Press Release. We did just get a FANTASTIC new ride (MF), and there is nothing to be disappointed about
You're sure this isn't press hype....if it's not, I'm getting pretty excited!!

Trim brakes-a necessity???
lol, i can see this name could get me in trouble in here, might have to change it huh,

please ignore my many typos and grammar errors :)
If they do get a flat ride of some sort, I hope it is a Top Scan... They are sooo much fun!

I think it is cool how they are fixing the park up a little bit.... but I think I am gonna miss the Waterball a little bit! Good thing I got some nice shots of it this summer!
Could be something along the lines of Chaos -- a great ride, but nowhere near the press of a coaster.

I really doubt that CP is getting a new ride. Why would they postpone the addition of a flat ride? Them again, they were vague on the details of the renovated Midway and Halloweekends. Hopefully, press release 2 is on the way. But I don't think so.
Are you sure they are getting rid of the waterball? They could just convert another flower bed into the dancing water display. I like the waterball! *** This post was edited by CP_bound on 10/28/2000. ***
I think that it would be strange if they didn't add a new ride, wasn't the last time that they went two years without adding a ride 1993? net: What if it's not a flat ride?

A bad day at CP is better than a good day at work.
What are they doing to the water ball? I love to eat and which it as i eat a snack before my midnight run on raptor.

Oops, my bad!
I hope they don't get rid of the waterball, though I know it is a major pain on windy days. A good spot for another fountain would be under the other end of the Skyride, where that concrete urn is right now. A fountain would be much better there, and would add some symmetry under the Skyride (a fountain on either end).

Perhaps Cedar Point will make the waterball part of the new fountain??? I also agree that the updating is a great idea. The park needs to take a year off and update the park. Make sure everything is up to date. We don't want landscaping looking like the 60's or something.

Okay, let me see if I am right in saying this or everyone else has a new idea...
When they say a new big fountain... it makes me think of the ones that spray out of the ground and you can run through in such.
Is this what you guys think... or soemthing diff?
I do hope they keep of move the water ball... it would look nice in front of the Giant Wheel if they opend that area up a little more.

"Your obssesed w/ that place aren't you?"
Jmstuckman, in 1993, they added Snake River Falls...
The waterball has always been the meeting place for my family and I. I don't what we will do without it there!!! It will never be the same
Yep, 93 was Snake River Falls. There have been years in the 90's where they added things like Challenge Park, as well as additions to Soak City. So I would count those as rides.
the waterball is a 1970 piece of junk it is about time they put something that uses more modern technology. I hope it is like one of the fountains they have at Fashion Valley in Newport Beach Ca *** This post was edited by Bill Bradley on 11/1/2000. ***
Booooo! SAVE THE WATERBALL!!
