While cruisin cp the other day i was talking to a guy who worked there (i didnt catch his name though) and i asked him if he knew of any rides that might be possibly being built in 2006 since there won't be one in 2005 and he said that cp is secretly working on a coaster that will actually be built in 2005. He then went on to say that it will be a new coaster style by B&M called a surfing coaster (It will be like a 4 across stand up but instead of facing foward you face to the side like you are actually surfing). He then told me that it will be built near wicked twister and it will face towards lake erie, you will launch out of the station at 60 MPH and you will ride extremely close to the water for a few seconds then you willl hit a cobra roll and then go through a few overbanked turns and do some other elements which i cant remember but he told me that they will be introducing a new element made specifically for this type of coaster which i have to keep confidential. He told me that the track color will be dark blue with light blue supports. This sounds like it'll be a pretty awesome coaster, i'll keep you guys informed if i hear anymore about it. Tell me what you think.
I've been hearing some stuff from the Lemon Chill guy lately, you wanna hear what he told me?
Sounds Great!!! I just hope it's not anything like Mantis where it's kind of jerky...It makes sense that it'll be blue after Somebody's "Spotting" of blue B&M track on a flat bed...I wonder what the name will be...(Surfin' Lake Erie?...Surfin' USA?)...ok I'm startin' to believe that this guy just told you a lie just for fun...And just what would they call it? (seriously)...but you never know...I think It'd be kind of cool...but I'd kind of prefer a Flier or a Floorless coming to Cedar Point...Tell us about this "New" element that you have to keep confidental please...your secret's safe here...it's not like that employ knows you, and you don't work there so your fine! please tell us!!! *** Edited 8/31/2004 10:44:22 PM UTC by cotton_eye_joe92***

yeah, its most likey a lie, but it would be cool, & where would they put it, on the Oceana Midway?
maby remove Ocean Motion, & biuld it over the pavillions , then out onto the beach, it could happen, but its totally out of the blue, that would be the least expected spot, for a new CP Coaster...
That is a nice idea, but I highly doubt that it is going to happen. I have heard of several rumors of a new ride at CP. I heard that the antique cars was to be moved and maybe wave swinger as well. The rumer that I heard was CP was going to re-build the wooden coaster Cyclone. This coaster was one of CP's first in the early part of the 1900's. So, I don't know how true this may be. Personally I don't care what CP does for the future. So take what I have to say how you will.
