Portable parking pass
A question for those that have already been to CP and redeemed their season pass certificates with their Joe Cool Club add-on and season parking pass purchase:
How exactly does the portable parking pass work?
--Is it a hang tag or static sticker that you move from car to car?
--Is it not anything that gets applied to your car at all, but is instead something noted on your season pass?
--Both of the above?
--None of the above?
I'm going tomorrow for my first trip of the year, and am curious what to expect when I go up to the main parking booth and present them with all of these various certificates to make the pass a portable one. Any advice on what to expect would be greatly appreciated!

When you process your season pass that is has a giant, yellow 'P' on the right side. All you have to do is hold your pass up as your drive by the parking gate and they will wave you through. I had no problems with this on opening day and love the change.

One word of advice. The portable parking pass is good for one season pass. Despite having Joe Cool, my wife and I decided to put the sticker on the car. That way, if someone wants to go without the other, then the car is always covered. If the parking is on the season pass, then that person would have to go to get the free parking.
Just like anything else, the new system benefits some and doesn't mean much to others.

It is a little deceptive the way the system was announced last October. Many people thought that they would get a parking pass for one car, and if they got the Joe Cool Club membership, they could get the pass on the other family member's pass.

Can you get the sticker on the car and also have the "P" on the pass? We want to have one car covered with the sticker, but then since I will be going more often and in a variety of cars I would like to have the "P" on my pass.

I don't think so.. at least it wasn't offered to me when I got mine... As it doesn't matter as long as you're in teh car, I don't really see a point to this. You don't need to be the one driving...

No - you get one "P" on the pass or you get one sticker.

I went on Tuesday and I just showed my vouchers and stuff at the toll both and she let me right through.
