Popularity?

Do you think that MF will still have nearly as many riders as it use to or not? Why?
With the new coaster?

The ride hasn't changed any, neither will the lines.

How can you say when the park hasn't even opened yet!
Uhm... You asked.

There aren't many coasters taller than MF, 16 is on the other side of the park, and MF is 3 yrs old...But the lines will probably stay long. I wonder if 16 will have handstamps. It will slow down the line, unless your lucky to get one. Anyway, when WT was built, MF still had long lines.

Magnum:Over 100

The popularity will go down I bet IF Dragster is a huge hit. Remember how popular Magnum was when it first opened. Now, I sometimes see the queue of it not half full. I'm not saying it will be unpopular anytime soon. But after Magnum, lots of other hypers were built and a hyper started becoming a common ride. Maybe in ten and fifteen years, Lots of gigas will be built. Then Cedar Point will go extreme and build a gigaplextera coaster or whatever. So in the very far future, MF might...I'm saying MIGHT...get kinda unpopular. Go ahead, beat me up.

I agree with Superman on the fact the it will be a while before MF will lose ridership. Number 16 might take the spotlight away, but I dont see MF lines getting any shorter. In my opinion, a lot of the GP like to work there way up on the coaster scale, smallest to biggest, thus meaning more people will ride Millennium and then head over to #16. But thats just a thought:)

Most people don't go from smallests to biggest. They might go to whatever ride of their interest as they enter the park, go to a particular ride such as their favorite ride, the biggest most popular ride, ect. It's pretty random what people decide to do, but there usually is a wave that goes through the park.

Now about MF's lines. It's following the popularity curve. I was very popular it's first year, but that dropped off quickly, but now the curve is starting to level off, meaning the lines will be pretty much the same as the last year. Consiter this example as a typical wait instead of an average for MF. (variation from the last year) *proposed typical wait.
2000 3 hours
2001 1.5 hours (- 1.5)
2002 1 hour (-.5)
*2003 .75 hour (-.25)

Remember, "Being fat can even ruin a romantic cruise"

Though it probably won't lose much, i'm still praying that it does lol. God I love that ride so much.
I don't quite agree with 99er though either. About how people would go to the smallest and up to the top coasters. The way I see it most people rush to the top coasters to get them out of the way and if later there isn't a long line they go back, unless they like a smaller coaster better. Like most grown up adults. I think that there will be more adults in line for MF than there used to be and more teens in line for the 16.

What do you guys think?

I wasnt saying that everyone that visits the park this season will start out at Jr. Gemini and ride every coaster until they get to #16. You would not believe the amount of people that would come up to our entrance at MF and say, "Is this the line for that big blue one over there? I think i'll go ride Magnum first and then come back and see." More adults were scared of riding then teenagers so I agree with TigerKiger there.

That just gave me an idea that would make a cool documentary on CP. Let's say a little kid took his frist visit to CP and he was riding JG. Then every coaster he went on would be bigger and he would be bigger too.

Anyway...to answer the question in the original post, I think the line for Millie will get a little shorter than it was before, but it will still have it's claim to fame: Tallest & Fastest full-circuit unlaunched coaster in the park.
