Pop ups are getting a little annoying around here?

It used to be fun to read this site but now with casino pop ups coming up in multiples of 2 or 3 EVERYTIME I click on something whether it is a link or a message, it's getting a little annoying. Go and get a program called pop up stopper from http://www.zdnet.com/downloads/stories/info/0,10615,66880,00.html

to stop the insanity around here!

"It's kinda like selling your season pass for CP admission tickets."

I am just saying,I don't mind 1 or 2, but 2 every single time i click a link on this site is a little much. We all need to make a buck or two but please be reasonable.
You *do* know that Jeff doesn't pick the ads that show up, right? The ad network puts whatever they want up there, and sometimes that includes the code for pop-ups.

Just be glad X10 hasn't gotten a piece of this place yet...

X10-NOOOO!!!!

I know he doesn't pick them and he may not even control how much they pop up, but for the past week, I get two of the same ad most of the time, every time I click a link, regardless if it is a message or just to go to cp place. I know they help pay for the site but pop ups in general have gotten out of control on the internet these days. I don't mind one when I enter the site because I just close it anyways but every click is a little too much.

By the way, that program I posted above is extremely annoying,it won't let you launch a new window at anytime, you have to turn it off, open IE,then run it again, kinda sucks.

First off, I don't like them either, but you need not worry because DoubleClick is dropping my sites so there won't be any more money.

Second, I'm unemployed right now, and I've got better things to do than sit on the DC site killing ads that bother other people.

Seems like their name should be double pop, not double click. Why are they dropping your sites? I thought they were always looking for new sites,I get harassed by them constantly (other companies) to put pop ups on my companies website.
Rob, please email me directly; I tried to email you and it bounced.

The only time I get a pop up add is when I first get on this site..other then that..i never get some pop ups.  Wonder why?

Normally, it isn't likely that you'll get a pop-up after the first two or three pages, or so they tell me.

Oh well, it won't matter two weeks from now. They're dropping the sites because not enough people click on the ads, which they still consider to be a metric for measuring success (I'm not even gonna go there).
