Pop Machines!

I think CP might as well take out all of the Pop/Drink machines because I haven't seen ONE person buy one, seeing how a bottle is $2.50!!!! Anybody agree?
I think as it gets warmer and the more people start to go more people will buy them.
I saw a few people in line for MF buy 'em. I think Kally is right, when it gets hotter, people will buy them. Not me, of course, I'll stick with free ice water, or that frosty cold nectar of the gods, of which R.G. Rob enjoys at any time, even breakfast before the 100! Woo-hoo!

MF 2K1: 4

They get there soda donated by pepsi so taking out something that makes them a 100%profit per pop isn't going to happen.

Obviously volume means something to them, though...A couple of years ago they boosted the machine price from $2 to $2.50 in mid-season and the volume dropped so much that the revenue dropped so much that they lowered the price back down to $2.

$2 is still too much, though.

I believe some of them at SFWoA are $3 now.
thank goodness for cooler in the car.

LoL ucsigep. Once in a while I'll buy a bottle of water in line if I'm desprate enough, usualy I stick with the free H2O though. As for R.G. Rob's favorite breakfast drink I still have 4 years in the U.S. and 2 in Canada.

Speaking of said pop machines...

Looks like CP (or Pepsi for that matter) is starting to phase out the cartoonish rollercoaster riders on the machine exteriors.

When in need of a drink and you can't get to a stand, you don't mind $2.50 for a cold one! After Sunday's Magnum marathon,I was very happy to pay for my ice cold bottle of Pepsi!! It really hit the spot!!

It is a waste if you won't be waiting long. I'm sure they will sell tons this summer.

I noticed that that are a significant less amounts of Mt. Dew machines than Pepsi. This makes no sense to me since teenagers tend to buy more Dew.
Those prices are sick. I remember in 1999 it was the fourth of July and we were at the point. It got up to 100 degrees that day and I rode the Raptor and when I got off I got VERY dehydrated. I got really hot and sick feeling and my dad gave my brother like a dollar or two to go get me a bottle of water but by the time my brother found a bottled water stand he came back and didn't have enough money. I think it ended up costing about three or four dollars for a bottle of water! And I'm sittin on one of those chairs under a tree by the games area with my dad- I was about ready to have a heat stroke I think. Then my brother came with a bottle of water and I drank that then filled it up about 4 times on our way back out the marina entrance to catch a shuttle back to the hotel. Well thats my expensive beverage story. :)

And that is why you can get free cups of water at CP!

I am really bummed they are phasing out the cool cartoons on the pop machines. Just the cartoon ride signs. CP must have a problem with cartoons characters!

I have NEVER seen bottled water for more than 2 dollars at cp are you sure you weren't at another park :-)

Sorry, but I paid $2.50 for a bottle of Aquafina on June 10, 2001.

I don't know maybe my dad gave my brother a dollar and it was 2 dollars. Ok I was wrong I forgot sorry. I know I was at CP thats the only park I go to. So I was just wrong about the price thing and do the really give out free cups of water?

I bought pop! The price is ridiculous, though. The Aquafina is $2.50. Is it cheaper to get a cup of something at the refreshment stands? And do they still have the machines you can use your credit card in? They had some by Raptor last year.
Cups of water are free at every food stand (unless they don't have a water source and cup.) You should ask for a cup of water though, not bottled water.
