One is likely for KI, and who knows about the other. Fact of the matter is, those are Cedar Fair trademarks, where Cedar Point uses their own trademark filings separate from Cedar Fair. CP lately has a tendency to wait to trademark a new attraction, so it doesn't spoil the name early.

Orion is a hunter, which would tie in nicely with The Beast at KI.

I honestly don't know how trademarks are granted, but aren't Orion and Polaris already companies? One, at least makes movies and the other makes snowmobiles.

Both of these names just make me think of (appropriately) outer space.

I’m not even a tv lawyer, but, my understanding is that Trademarks generally apply to a particular type of product or business. Amusement rides and snowmobiles probably wouldn’t get confused. Even though a snowmobile is pretty amusing!

I doubt it's 200 feet long, but still. Oh the confusion! :)
