Lookin for some CP regulars....
I'll be making my annual trip up to CP in 9 days (Wed 20th - Sat. 23rd) Never been this late in the season since I usually go in early June so I'm curious as the best ways to do things....
Best place to park? - I've seen alot of you talking about the Magnum entrance or Soak City lot but I'm not sure if I know how to get around to those entrances?
Is the pepsi can discount good for $10 off a 2-day pass? or Does anyone know any discounts for a 2-day?
That's all I can think of for now, any suggestions you have for making a trip to CP smoother I'd love to hear your suggestions! Thanks

The 20th-23rd is about the actual mid season of the biggest crowds.
Depends on what you want to do - I like the resort gate, and having a car closer to all the bigger rides.
I don't know, but I think it's just the funday admission. AAA and Meijers have cheaper 2 day ride and slides. Get them at AAA if you can.
Just go and have fun. :)
For the parking, tell the people at the booth (up front, at the parking lot you know?) that you're going to soak city or lighthouse point and they'll let you back there IIRC.
I agree with the AAA comment, that's where we got ours back in the day (before we became season passers :))

2009 - Games Supervisor
2010 - Season pass holder.
The $10 thing only applies to snigle-day, IIRC. Otherwise, you're only going to save $2-4 per person by buying 2-day tix elsewhere. I wouldn't bother unless it wasn't too terribly far out of my way.
This may be a really stupid question, but are the Pepsi cans everywhere? I'm in Michigan and I can't say I've seen them. I'm thinking this would be better to do than the AAA discount, as I think I may want to go 2 days, so I'll just get 4 cans if I can and buy tickets each day. Does this make sense?
The pepsi can discount is available in Michigan, but I haven't seen them, either.
But I don't usually drink pepsi.

if you are going for 2 days in a row...it probably is a better deal to get the ride and slide tickets....you can get those at any meijer store for $64...you will be paying $61.90 just for 2 cedar point tickets with the $10 pepsi can discount...with ride and slide you get 2 cedar point tickets and 2 soak city tickets...but you have to use them on consecutive days.

So the best place to buy the tickets would be at a Meijer store? since I don't know anyone with a AAA card. Would the pepsi can still go towards the Ride N Slide tickets? My hotel has some sort of discount they advertise so I'll have to check with them about what exactly that is.
I'd say that's probably my best deal for $64 at Meijer. I can buy those tickets online for $68 each though so I'm not sure if Meijer counts the pepsi towards it.

WHOA I didn't notice the dates you were going when I posted. Wed-Saturday sounds like 4 days to me.
Get a season pass. What it breaks down to (with the math) (if I remember right) is it pays for 3 visits or so, or 2 1/2 or something, then everything after that is free.
Feels like you're paying a lot, but it's worth it if you're looking to save money, plus you get a cool card with your picture on it :)
2008 - Games (Area 3/Scales)
2009 - Games Supervisor
2010 - Season pass holder.
If you will be there at least 3 full days get a season pass, it will save you more than two "Ride and Slide" tickets would.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I don't drink Pepsi either, so I've not really paid attention. The Ride n Slide tickets sound like a great deal, but am I right in that you only get into Cedar Point on of those days and the other has to be Soak City? I'm going on a Friday (Aug 5th) but I know comes Saturday morning my friend and I will probably want to go back. I could kick myself since I should have gotten season tickets, since we went Memorial Day, but I didn't think we would get back! Can someone explain the ride n slide tickets, I'm a bit slow!!!! Thanks!
I'm going 20th - 23rd but that's one day up and one day back, so I'll be in the park on the 21st & 22nd so only two days, so I'm thinking the ride and slide. I have no interest in soak city right now so I just need 2 days in the park without paying 40 each day.

If it's warm, Soak City is a very nice change in pace for a few hours during the afternoon when every ride will have a long line anyway.
harmony29, you get 2 cedar point tickets and 2 soak city tickets...the only catch is you have to use day 1 cedar point ticket and day 2 cedar point ticket ( applies to soak city ticket also ) on consecutive days. That means you can't use day 1 and day 2 cedar point tickets the same day.

So that means it would be good for me since I'm going on Thursday and Friday, just in the park. Dont care about soak city.
But does that mean, lets say I wanted to go to Soak city, that I have to spend half a day at CP and the other half at Soak City on both days to get full use outta them?

Also, from what I've read on the various forums, the Marina entrance is one of the better ones to enter from. I'm not staying at a Resort so I dont qualify for the early entry :(
Where exactly is the Marina entrance? Is that the one close to the Soak City lot? That's where I'm planning on parking, hopefully I can find it back there.

The Marina entrance is between the Dodgems and Cadillac Cars across from the Cedars Dorms and Famous Daves. You can get to it by walking from the front lot along the Blue Streak. It'll be on your right past the Calypso and Turnpikes.
Can you see that entrance from this pic?

Thanks for the tips. I am definitely going to buy the ride n slide since I'll be there Friday and Saturday. I think I will also try to go in through the Marina entrance. Am I right in assuming there is no parking over there, the only way is to park in the front and walk over there? The reason I ask is that I have a bad knee, so the more I can limit how far I have to walk the better. Thanks for everyone's help, I really appreciate it!
