Pointbuzz-I LIKE!!

harley, I know who it is. :)
Wow, I haven't posted since last Summer but this definitely warranted a return. I too was very confused when I went to www.guidetothepoint.com and saw PointBuzz, but I was sold on the merger almost immediately. As a long-time reader and poster of GTTP (since the construction of MF) and Virtual Midway it's really awesome to see the two sites together. Great work Walt and Jeff!

World's first strata-coaster!

I appreciate all the hard work that I know went into this site. But..... I don't like all the pop ups. I suppose I will get used to it tho because I wouldn't want to miss anything! CP is my favorite place!Ifact, last year, on July 4th, my 67 yr old fiancee and I ( 59) got married on the Giantwheel. He had been very ill and it was always our desire to get married here. So after his surgery, we decided to do it! Had a great time!

And the 2 combined sites have been our favorites. You guys sure keep up with everything! It is fun to visit especially in the winter. Gets our juices running for the summer!!! We are taking our first CP trip this week-end. We have 4 planned trips and hopefully, rising gasoline prices won't keep us away. We come from Kewanee Illiniois. HAppy Coastering!

Am I going to be the first one to say I don't like it?

No, I'm not. I love it. You have just dominated the park fansite net. No other website can stand up to this now. This is the CoasterBuzz of Cedar Point fan sites! Great work!

One interesting tidbit, regarding the name. Despite the similarity to Jeff's CoasterBuzz, I was the one who originally suggested PointBuzz to him. We had a short list of ideas, but didn't like anything we had come up with. I thought - why not PointBuzz? I came up with a logo and we were both sold. *** Edited 5/13/2004 6:03:49 PM UTC by Gemini***

Very nice guys. I was wondering what the "big change" was going to be and I was pleasantly suprised.
Its a nice combination of everything.

2 things I've noticed, the ride descriptions don't seem to have as much detail as VM did, but I figure this is only due to the recent change and things will flush out in the next few weeks.
The second thing is probably just me, but I would like to see the "Wicked Twister Midway" name returned to what it was. I liked the fact that Walt still called it the Oceana midway as an homage to the old Stadium/Aquarium. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change it back.

Nice job guys, you'd done a great job separately with both your sites and now I only have to go to one place to get my Cedar Point fix.

Content is coming. Many of the attraction pages are a little lean, but we'll fill that stuff up as we go through the summer.

As for the Wicked Twister Midway - that's the designation Cedar Point uses, so that's we'll use. Just trying to be as accurate as possible. Don't worry - we'll pay tribute to all of Cedar Point's past with a new history web site that is currently in the works.

I love it! I won't have time to really check it out until later this evening after work but it looks amazing so far. I really like the name as well, it just makes sense. Gemini, would you care to share any of the other names on that short list? A big thanks to everyone for feeding my fire over the years. :)

another question. Do we have to wait for avatars to be approved just like photos?

That list is long gone, macho nachos ... somewhere in the IM afterlife. I don't even remember the other ones we came up with. Obviously not very memorable!

Congrats, I love the new site!
Looks very nice guys. Wasn't what I was expecting when I wanted to check out the GL forum and a whole new site showed up. It might take a while to get used to, but it feels a little more "alive" now.

I just remembered that I'm absent minded
Wait, I mean I've lost my mind, I can't find it

Very impressive. All the time working on this site is time well spent.
Awesome site guys. Good job. I'm very impressed with everything and haven't completed the full navigation, but I'm yet to find the coaster videos that were on GTTP. What happened to the promotional videos and onride of MF, Maggie and Mean Streak? I can't seem to find them. Are they here and are they coming back?

Sure, they can turn off the pop-ups if you want to pay for the site for them.
I'm loving this new site guys! Congratulations!

How long has this been in the works, as it seems like something such as this would have taken a long time?

The only thing other than CP that Steelers and Browns fans agree on

Great Site! But why does every single picture have the " Pictures may only be viewed from Point Buzz"??
