I just had to say to how nice this site is put together. I just, for the first time, visited another CP site in order to thank one of it's members I met on OD. (My PointBuzz shirt tipped him off :)) The site was not near as user friendly & I just hated the look of the threads. I left never to return. (Someone commented on you taking pics at the front gate ;)) I know you don't need my approval or anything Walt, but I thought I'd let you know how much I enjoy the way you designed this site. I guess I took it for granted since I don't post on any other sites.

We appreciate the kinds words. Jeff and I have worked hard to make this a site worth visiting and we have all kinds of plans for the future. Now, has someone seen my spare time? :)
This site is just the best out there, thanks to some great work by Jeff & Walt :) I'm also gonna wear my PB shirt on my visit in 12 days (YAY!).

I am making some progress on the photo gallery stuff, which is not the new site Walt and I would like yesterday, but it's a step in the right direction. Hopefully I'll have enough free time this weekend to put some polish on it.

I agree. You guys have done an excellent job with this site. I have especially started appreciating it the past couple months when looking for a Disney World site to get questions answered. Most of the sites I've found have had absolutly no control. The signatures were nearly two pages each, the conversations were 99% pointless and there was noone keeping things from getting out of hand. Eventually I found a site that I can tolerate but it is nothing near pointbuzz. Keep up the good work.

Maybe we should do a Disney site, Walt. :) Actually, I registered mousebuzz.com years ago, let it expired, and now someone else registered it. That's my bonehead move there.

Don't tempt me. You know I'd be up for doing a Disney site. :)
Great idea. You could work on it in your spare time. ;)
And by the way, and I've said it before, Pointbuzz is my very favorite place to go to on the net. Well, that and www.milfbuzz.com.
My author website: mgrantroberts.com.
I've personally enjoyed the site since the merger and both Virtual Midway and Guide to the Point before this. It's well run, up to date, and has a load of good, interesting content.
A lot of work and TLC has gone into this site, and it shows. Great job and keep up the good work.
For example this past summer, Millennium Force's train was proceeding up the lift hill near the top. The ride emergency stopped. While slowing down the chain dog popped up and the catch car's contact pin got ahead of the chain dog. The hydraulic system had failed so they couldn't safely reverse the catch car and move it forward to engage the train. They instead had to use two 6 ton hand chain winches, pushing them down with their feet, to get the train to move up the hill. Took hours to setup then train to move forward the few inches to get the chain dog to drop in front of the contact pin.
The point of the story is that you've got great pictures of this:
