Hey. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas to help out PB and make it better. Walt and Jeff I'm not saying PB is bad right now. It's really awesome!! But maybe like a weekly poll or something. A chat room would be cool, but that would be hard to watch over it. Anyways I just want to see what everyone's thoughts would be on this. Thank you.
P.S. IT's MY BIRTHDAY!!! today
They should make the profile like a MySpace type of thing. Just a thought.

Sure, we're always open to suggestions. So, if you have them, list 'em here. ... moving to Feedback and Help.
The biggest issue, as I've said over and over again, is time. If you guys could only see the PointBuzz that exists in my mind, you'd be impressed. :)

Any word on the Demon Drop tribute (or celebration if it remains next season) page?
The Amazement Park
I think he's waiting for the final word on the ride's status for next season.

I know a lot of you guys won't understand, but Walt not only has a full time job, but he also has a wife and kid. Jeff is busy running his own business.
They don't have time to sit around. I'm sure they both still enjoy to do normal people stuff on top of their lives, and it leaves very small amounts of time for this site.
And while an update may seem small, to make it look professional, well thought out and to make it fit in might take a lot more time than what you guys think. He doesn't just slap some photos up and call it good. It takes time to look through pictures, pick out the right ones, retouch them, watermark them, resize them, upload them, generate thumbnails, etc. They both do a very good job at making it look easy - Take it from someone who does the same kind of stuff - it's not nearly as easy as it looks.
I know it's much harder than it looks. I did a project last year I thought it would be a breeze so I ended up working 8 hours the day before it was due.
But do you guys think it would be possible to have a poll or chat room? Would you even like one?
I'm looking forward to the new history site. However, I'm being very patient at the same time.

Hey Walt I remember you saying that you would have some videos of the park in the near future. (This was in May) Just wondering if those are still coming or if they have been scratched?
<Matt>
101 on Magnum and counting...
Videos would be very cool. But you can't have onride videos of course. Although are you allowed to do an onride video if you get special permission from CP?
I'm love using my Live Bookmark feature in firefox to keep track of updates on OnPoint! and Coasterbuzz's Podcast.
Many news site use this feature, and it'd be great to have on PointBuzz.

Hmm... RSS would be great... I already have CoasterBuzz on there 3 times (News, Forums, PodCast) and OnPoint!, a PointBuzz feed would be great. Any way you guys could pull that off relativly painless?
If not, no biggie. You're already my homepage.

A topic called "Pointbuzz" on a site by the same name. That's a crazy coincidence.

1. Demon Drop tribute will come after it's sold. If it comes back, I'll probably put it up anyway in the spring. White Water Landing tribute should be up before the end of the year.
2. The history site, well, what can I say. Just a time issue at this point.
3. I do have video that has not been posted. Not as much as I wanted, but I'll be working on that through the off-season.
4. RSS will probably come with the new site (though I guess it could be introduced with the current one). I suspect Jeff will want the new CoasterBuzz launched before we work on PointBuzz v2.0, so it's going to be a little while. Which is fine, because it's not like I have time right now.
I've suggested this before, but when you're viewing a photo gallery, where there is a horizontal scroll bar, everytime you click on a photo you have scrolled to, it resets the scroll bar to the beginning, and you have to find where you were. Not a big problem, but it'd be nice if it locked when the new photo loads.
I've got an idea for the photo gallery. Have to run it by Jeff to see what he thinks.
I just click and drag the photo up to the web address, and you won't have to wait for the other photos to load.

^ Wait, how's this now? I'm using firefox... I left-click the thumbnail, drag it up to the address bar, drop it there, but the whole gallery still reloads. What browser are you using? Are you using the left or right button? Copy/Paste or Drag/Drop? I'm very interested in how you're doing this, as I'm on dial-up and the wait kills me, especially in the larger galleries.
