Podcasts

Does anyone knoe if Pointbuzz does any podcasts? I have looked around but haven't foud any. If not, i think that it would be a cool thing to do. Just a thought...

Uh... No.... Why would they do podcasts?

There are podcasts available at coasterbuzz that feature CP. In fact, Dick Kinzel was a guest on one of them. www.coasterbuzz.com

It's something that's been discussed, but nothing is imminent.

I am planning on having some content in a few weeks that will involve downloading audio, but I haven't worked out the details.

I could see it as something occasional, maybe once a month. But, I don't think there would be enough subject matter to have a podcast every week like Coasterbuzz. I'm assuming it's because of lack of material, but Coasterbuzz has not even had a podcast in 2 weeks, and they have the whole industry to talk about.

I don't think there is much to talk about for this site on a regular podcast. Not much happens.

There are quite a few audio possibilities. Audio interviews would be a good one from time to time. I think Dick Kinzel's interview would be a great thing to have on this site. Something a bit more on the technical side could be interesting given good information.

I vote (I'm saying this like I really matter ;)) but I vote RSS Feeds before podcasts.

God, it's hard enough to do a podcast weekly for CB, and that covers the entire amusement industry. I can't imagine how uninteresting it would be to hear people sit around and talk about Cedar Point every week.

You guys hoenstly don't think that there would be enough info on CP to do a podcast weekly? I think there is... CP has been open for over a century, almost a century and a half. Walt should hit me up for the job....! I think that there is sooooooooo much you can't talk about reguarding CP.... not just CP but rollercoaster physics, cool places to eat. Things for family outside the park, when to come, ect...

Not to start a fight.... just my own thoughts and opinions.

What about an occasional (ie every 6 weeks or so) Cedar Fair podcast?

That sounds like it would be a little more doable. Not that Jeff and the gang don't have enough to do as it is. :)

Very true the podcasts don't have to be about the same CP stuff all the time. Jeff remember that the Coasterbuzz Podcasts are about Six Flags for almost all of them. But for diffrent reasons. ;)

Because there is so many of them. :)

I think it would be a nice addition, but I don't think there is a market to have it as a weekly thing. Once a month or once every two months (as djDaemon mentioned) would provide something new and original to the site, and thus there isn't necessarily a deadline as there would be with a weekly podcast. But it is a lot of work, and I give Walt and Jeff a lot of credit simply for maintaining it as it is.
