I am sorry to generate a new topic for this but I just read that I-280 is closed between 75 and I-80/90. Comming from Michigan I like taking I-80/90 and was wondering if I could just take I-75 all the way down to I-80/90??? It looks like I can on the map but is it really possible? Also, how much longer will that take as opposed to the I-280 way?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Yes it is possible to access the turnpike from I-75. With I-280 closed, this is pretty much your only option. It only takes about five minutes or so extra as compared to taking I-280 route. Have a great trip!!
Get your 5 minutes back by going OH-53 North to OH-2 to US-6 instead of using the typical 2 CP exits (4 and 250)... Thats my favorite route... and the bridge is so scenic...

Yep....exit #195 off of I-75 is what you will need to hit.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
No, you're all wrong!
I280 is only closed for a very small distance. If you're headed south on I75, you'll be seeing the signs forever that 280 is closed, but the ramp is always left open. If you use the ramp to get off, they will take you through a small detour and get you right back on where it's open again. Just follow the signs and it's very easy.

He asked a simple directions question and most of you want throw in alternate routes. I hope he is not sitting there wondering what to do.
75 to the Turnpike on the way there. Turnpike to 75 on the way home.
Top Thrill Dragster, 280 is closed. Just because it has a detour does not make it open and everyone else wrong. Why waste time on a detour that may add more time than simply going around the mess?
I guess it's because I prefer taking Rt. 2 over the Turnpike, and I don't think there's any alternate routes to get there from 75.

Well if he wants to take Rt. 2, all he has to do is take I-75 south and get off at the Miami St. exit which is right past the river. This will take you straight to Rt. 2. TTD: I-280 is open to thru traffic but most of it is down to one lane and is usually very congested especially depending on the time of day and can take a very long time getting through.
