I just realized that I lost my Platinum Pass when my purse was stolen a couple weeks ago. Only thought about replacing important thing like i.d. and credit cards...Anyone know how much the replacement fee is? And I'm assuming that since the season pass center closed in early July, they can help me with this at the ticket sales window. Anyone know the details on this? Thanks.
Last year I accidentally misplaced my platinum pass, and I had it on my phone. So what happens is I have to re-install the Cedar Point app. Anyway, aside from that, I actually did it at guest services.
You have to give them some info, such as your name, address, and the like, and it costs $15 to replace.

Work harder, seagulls! You need to push Cedar Point into the sun!
I replaced one about 6 weeks ago my youngest lost at KI. Actually did it at the CPS ticket window and as Skyhawk said the cost should be $15. However the agent at the window did not really know what they were doing and ended up issuing me a new pass and screwing everything up so had to get a supervisor to fix it all. Maybe becuase of the hassle they didn’t charge me the $15. Idk.
If you do keep your passes in the CP app/phone wallet make sure to delete the old one and scan the new one in as the codes are different.
Under the old “home park” rules you had to replace at your park of issue, that is not the case anymore and you can do it at any CF park.
I haven't lost ours, but we're going on 5 years with the same old ID's. They are discolored on the back from my wallet, and the text is smearing. I'd eventually like to get fresh new ones, just because I'm thinking they may stop scanning once this barcode gets worn enough.
I wouldn't expect to have to pay for that, but I don't know.
I did not get charged for my pass after I misplaced my other one last year. Nor did my fiancée get charged for one this year when she changed purses and accidentally put her pass from last year in her wallet instead of the one she got at the beginning of this year. The gentleman working the front gate just scanned her old pass, her picture still came up from last year, and he somehow transferred onto a new pass and we were on our way. The process took no more than 30 seconds.
Having been a passholder for over 10 years I can tell you they definitely do NOT charge for the card "wearing out", for example, the text or barcode smearing or otherwise being non-functional. That is company policy, but you need to have the old pass present to exchange for a new one.
Lost passes are another story. Official policy is there is a $15 fee. Someimes it's waived. Do your best chicken fingers job (Tommy Boy reference) and see if they'll help you out.
If you didn't lose your pass, or just left it at home, they will print a one-day paper pass for you which can be scanned at the gate. Note, you usually can't get that until the park opens, meaning you'll miss early entry. There is no charge for this.
That paper print out temp pass is fine just for entry but is a real pain if you have the dinning and/or drink plan. Suffered through it one afternoon at KI as we were not going to be there much longer. You might be able to scan the paper pass into the park app and then just use that. On a hot and muggy day that flimsy paper isn’t going to last long.
I wonder if not getting charged has something to do with my Make Me Whole Again t-shirt I always wear to the park.

Okay, it seems we have a 50/50 disconnect here. What are you people doing that you don't get charged for your pass replacement?
Well, we all know how consistent Cedar Fair is. It will probably depend on day, time-of-day, who's working, mood of said worker, ect...
I think the year I had mine replace was 2015, last time there. The card did state that it was a $15 replacement fee. It was opening day and I forgot my fanny pack entirely. I went to Season Pass Center and told them I forgot it and gave them my info. They used that along with the photo on file and printed new pass and out the door I went. I would have paid the $15 if asked. I quickly picked up the pace before they changed their mind! :)
