Platinum Pass Prices

First, sorry if this is in the wrong place, please yell at me if it is :)

Is $169 going to be the standard price, or is that just a limited time promo. I know there was something mentioned on their facebook page about $20 off, but I think that was just for single day.
What really got me wondering about this is that Meijer has them for $179 and in years past I thought Meijer was slightly cheaper.

I started checking the website at the beginning of the year and the price hasn't changed. Not saying it won't, but if it's a sale, it's a really long lasting one!

And make sure that in the future you pay attention at the close of the year. We got ours for 149...that price was good until October I believe.

I wanted to get them then, but didn't have the money. Really, we don't have the money now, but I haven't been to CP since '08 and seriously having withdrawals. I sent them an email regarding discount pricing, which they don't do for disabled, but thought it was worth trying. The also said

Platinum Season Passes will be $169 until May 13. After that date, the price may increase

Historically, the fall (during Halloweekends) has been the cheapest time to buy/renew your passes. I've been buying them during that time since 2001.
