Platinum Pass Price...

I'm considering buying a Platinum Pass for next year, but I have a question. CP's site is counting down saying, "You've only got X days left for the lowest price." What's the normal price for a Platinum Pass? We talking a $10 increase over the current price or a $50 increase?

It's somewhere around $20 or $30 in the holiday season, then an extra $10 or $20 after that.

Yeah, I was thinking we bought a couple for Christmas last year for relatives and it was a little over $200. As the season approached, it went up another $20 or so. Sorry I don't have specifics.

Am I wrong, or did you miss the best price by two days?

Best price was last night midnight. A savings of $4.50.

Passes were $197.50 in mid July.

According to their post on Facebook, the best price has been extended until a Thursday. 9 payments of $21 = $189.

on the last blog posted it said season passes are going up this year which is CRAZY but i can never decide when is really the best time to buy.

Best time to buy: before the season ends so you can get fastlane ($94 right there, more depending on the day) plus the cheaper pass.

Yup. I almost never buy mine that early but the free Fast Lane got me to pull out my wallet. We enjoyed using them the last weekend before Halloweekends.

Actually, FLP for pass holders can be as low as $60 depending on the day. I paid $73 on Sunday, and $60 the week before Labor Day.

When we inquired two weeks ago policy is to allow for Platinum Passholders to purchase FL+ for the price of FL once each season. It's good any day of the season for that days published price.

We got $149 FL+ for the $99 FL price on Saturday.

Hmm... I've done it twice this season without issue. Most recently, I asked the guy at the ticket counter what the FLP price was for Platinum Pass holders, and he made no mention of any limitation.And honestly, without that discount, I wouldn't have purchased FL at all.

I had called CP general information and got that information. It wouldn't surprise me if it works all the time.

I got FL+ for $60 earlier this summer with my PP when the regular FL price was far more than that, but everyone here insisted it was a mistake. It was printed on my receipt as a platinum pass discount, not just the 10% or whatever. It said -$40.

I just renewed my pass and got a fastpass plus on the last day and boarded Valravn, milliennium, Maverick, etc. and multiple rides with minimal waits and $21 a month till last year! It doesn't hurt the bank account at all. Instead of shelling out $180 next spring. I went 10 times including a trip to Kings Island. They will raise the price. I am certain of that especially if they announce RMC mean streak. If not I will be at Kings island riding Mystic Timbers, The Beast, Diamondback and Banshee!
