Platinum Pass Perk (Or Myth)

We purchased the platinum passes for '13 and a friend mentioned that we could also buy 1 guest ticket for $15 at the gate with each platinum pass. Is this true? If so it would be GREAT way for our kids to be able to each bring a friend without breaking our bank. We had platinum passes a few years ago and i don't recall ever hearing about that before so i thought i'd ask here.

That discount wasn't on the list of Platinum Pass perks for the 2012 season. Here is the complete list:

On select days, especially later in the season, Cedar Point will often allow pass holders to bring a friend at a discounted rate. Cedar Point usually releases those details on their home page, Facebook or Twitter. Hope that helps!

There were various Fridays and Sundays this Fall when Any Season pass holder could bring a friend for $20. This is not a set perk. They have had various spontaneous promotions over the years. You just have to keep your ears and eyes open for them.
