Platinum Pass and Parking

Does anyone know if a Platinum pass can be used twice in the same day for parking? I know that it can only be used once per day for park admission and you get your hand stamped if you leave the park and want to re-enter later that day. But if I park in the morning for a few hours, then go off Point into town and return that afternoon/evening, can I use my Platinum Pass for free parking again?

I've never had trouble when showing my pass on a same-day return trip.

What you might do to ease your mind is just take a second on your first time through and ask them what to do if you need to leave the parking lot and come back.

If you're given a paper slip, hold onto it. You probably won't need it, though I haven't tried reentering since they began handing those out.
