We're planning our (two adults, two teens) first visit this summer. Would appreciate ideas on staying on site vs. off site. Also, recommended places to stay on site and off site. In advance, thanks for the information.
Mayor, Lighthouse Point
Maybe Walt or Jeff should pin a topic regarding this type of information during the season.

Check both the FAQ Both here and on www.cedarpoint.com . With that said I recommend staying at a CP resort just due to the fact that you get to get in the park a half hour early it is worth the extra bucks. I have stayed at Breakers Express multiple times and never had any trouble. Allways clean and they have an outdoor pool and hot tub. Also in the past they have sold discounted two day Ride & Slide tickets to resort guests I am not sure if they are still doing that this year with the price drop that is allready in place. Have fun
Ride On!
It really depends on whether or not money is an issue. If not, stay at Breakers. You can't beat the convenience of being right there in the park. If you do stay at Breakers, I recommend the tower section because while I'm sure the older rooms were very nice when they were built in 1905,(I think that was the year) they are kind of small and outdated by today's standards. If money is an issue, stay at Breakers Express. It's a really nice clean hotel, and you can get packages that are very reasonably priced. That's where I usually stay and I've never had a bad experience. Hope this helps a little. Enjoy the Point!
I agree with the Mayor...........
Lighthouse Point is the way to go! With propper planning you can eat a lot of meals in your cabin, your right at the point!, and in your downtime you are in the best position! On the lake/bay with a deck! Talk about relaxing! ! !
the cottages in the park are my favorite you have your own grill an theres a convience store do get food and such plus u can get in the prak earlier since your in one of the hotels
Force911, I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but you really should try not to use internet slang and IM shortcuts on this board. People here really like to use normal, common, English, makes it easier to read your posts. Also, try to watch your spelling and punctuation. Again, I am not trying to rag on you, but you will get flamed by others for not following the posting guidlines. That being said welcome to the boards, this is a great site, you can really gain a lot of info here.

No problom force911, just wanted to head off a few of the over reactive members who like to really get on people for being "lazy" typers, like me, LOL.
