Which resort do you get the "most for your money"?
I am asking this because I live 4 hours away form the Point, and will have to leave about 6 a.m.
BTW thats 4 I80 Hours, AKA 225 Miles!
Thanks

I found out that it will be a Mon/Tue trip.
This will be a 2 day trip. Arive on monday about 11, leave at closeing, and stay at a hotel, than go back to the park the next day, and leave for home about 5.
I guess I ment if it would be better/cheaper to stay offsite or at one of the parks hotles
Thanks

Lighthouse Point is the only one that sticks out as something a little more special than a hotel room located at the park. The atmosphere of sitting on your deck on Lake Erie, just feels like you're away from it all and then you turn around and there's Magnum, TTD, and Mean Streak...PRICELESS!
MrScott might agree? :)

Lighthouse Point, hands down. I've been visiting the park for 30 years...in every way possible, and Lighthouse is the best way to stay.

Another quick question.

Thanks

June is very good time to go also preferrably during the week. I have been going for 13 years and June was always the best. The only issue is the weather sometimes.
ok, stupid question, do the cabins have ac?

well, I got the dates, June 25-26, 2007. Its a Mon and a Tues.
Just a few more questions
Is there a gate or something to get from lighthouse to park, or do they have a courtesy bus that takes you to the gate?
Now a tough one, since we are only staying one night, and you have to check out at 11, will we have to move our car to the reg parking lot, or can we leave it there till we leave at about 7?
Thanks

1. It's about a five minute walk to the Magnum gate.
2. Move it to the main lot, or even the Soak City lot. It'll definitely be easier for you come the end of the day.

Just another quick question, where should we park when we arrive at the park about 11 on the Monday, since check in isn't till 4?
Thanks

And there is a shuttle available. Pick up/drop off is near the camp store or pool.
I have never had a problem checking in early. The 4pm time is in place in case they don't have the time to get the housekeeping done. I have never had this happen, but I visit the park during "slow" times.

My friends and I arrived at 8:00am and checked in. We parked right at LHP, then walked over to the Magnum entrance. Later in the day, we took a break and moved into the cottage. Worked out great.
Quick tip: You get early admission on your arrival date too. So, you can check-in early like we did and still get into the park early that day. You then get it the next morning too.
We stayed at the cabins very nice places to enjoy the Point.

Quick question.
I am 19, but it says something about being 21 to reserve a room? I thought 18 was the age you are considered an adult. Is this only for online, or dose it apply to all, even if I did it through AAA.
Thanks

Well, as far as I know, this regulation applies to all reservations (online, phone, AAA, etc), but provided you have a credit card, they may just take your word for it, regarding your age.
