What percentage of Cedar Point visitors, young are old, are scared of rides? I know there's lots to do beside ride, but, after all, the rides are the reason most people are there. Even the most timid of guests above 3 can find several things to ride. How much of an impact does it really have if it's Spongebob rotating on Red Baron versus Snoopy?
Again, I'm not saying it isn't important, I just don't think it's as big a deal as everyone seems to think it is.
Pretty high impact if you market the characters in commercials, at least I would think....

I think it will return. Somebody maybe might have deleted it while adding it to the site. Give them time it will return by tomorrow. :)
And how do you know this?

After zooming into the image it does seem like this was a mistake being put online as if you look at the bottom of the picture you can see the work "block".
Dude I was trying to be optimistic about this for everyone. I don't know anything more then you do about what's going on with that banner. Geez!

There's also the word "look." I think it's just something to do with the browser it's being viewed in, though. That didn't appear when I saw it on the website.
I don't know why everyone is jumping all over "it was an accident, not a test." The same thing happens all the time when they're getting ready to update or add something. It appears for a short time, and then it's gone. It might seem like nothing to just add another slide, but it is something that's certainly worth testing before you completely release it. Don't read too much into it.

The "block" you see is part of an ad blocking extension. I can't remember which one but I've used it before at one point. It adds that little "block" button on any flash animation.

No I mean the picture of it showed up on the CP website a few days before it was announced. Also the Flying snoopy telling how many days were left before the Maverick announcement said "The announcement comes today" like 5 days before the real announcement date.

Huh?! I don't recall it being inaccurate as you speak of it being.

I'm the one that started the "Maverick Incedent". I logged on to the CP website and saw Snoopy flying around with a banner saying the new ride would be announced TODAY. This was about a week before the actual announcement.
I got excited and I immediately posted a thread saying the announcent would be that day. I did not ad a screen capture. By the time I made ny post and people started checking CP's site the banner was back to the real number of days remaining.
I caught lots of flack. Some said I was a crackpot trying to get attention. I apoligized numerous times for getting people riled up. However, I did see TODAY on that banner.
Actually I saw snoopy stuff everywhere this christmas, unlike last christams when I was looking for a snoopy, every catalog and every store seemed to have plenty of Peanuts stuff, I do think it sets Cedar Point apart, why copy other parks and put something in there that lots of parks have. Snoopy is classic, it's like a classic rock band, they are never going to this years top grossing artist but they remain popular forever while all the latest fads come and go. I also agree with Walt when I was a kid and went to Kings Island, I didn't give a crap about characters I just wanted to ride. In fact I liked the smurfs a lot but I hated when they put the smurfs in the enchanted voyage ruined the atmosphere of the ride. Sometimes this stuff actually can be more for the adults, I mean while the kids are riding rides it's the older people that walk around and enjoy the atmosphere so it's good to pick something that can appeal to all ages
So the real question here is: when? An announcement at this point would probably be more for the GP than for the enthusiasts, considering we pretty much know whats going in and it's name...though there might be more than meets the eye in that area..

I thought we knew the name and that seven rides were going to be in it. That's it, far from knowing a lot in my eyes.
