How can they be at the scene and not know? I think a plane is very easy to spot. I think there would be plenty of witnesses there to verify if this were true.

Who wrote this article, the CIA? Either a plane landed on the beach or it didn't.

Uh Jordan, the article says nothing about a plane *crash*. It only mentions an emergency landing. Landing implies safety, crash implies falling from the sky uncontrolled.

Well no, you can still crash in a controlled fashion.

Okay, I could've worded it better, but a crash is not an emergency landing. An emergency landing is when you have to land wherever you safely can because of something occurring on or with the plane. A crash is when the plane is going down already, whether you want it to or not.

The original Register headline did say crash. They've since updated it. I'm also going to update the title of the thread.

According to WKYC, the small airplane hit a duck and had to make an emergency duck. Surprised it wasn't a seagull...😂

My wife's childhood home is immediately south of the Sandusky Airport. They once had a plane on approach land in a neighbor's pool. If I'm the pilot I think I prefer the beach.
