Places to eat outside the park

Leaving Saturday for Our first trip to Geauga Lake- stopping on our way to Cedar Point. Any suggestion places to eat outside the park- nothing fancy buffets- applebee type. Thanks!!!

Turn right out of the GL parking lot and head down 43 for a couple of miles, and there is a Rockne's right on the corner. It's in the middle of an area full of gas stations and fast food places, so you should be set there if you don't want to go to Rockne's, but being that Rockne's is awesome, I would suggest that.

It's very similar to Applebee's in both menu and price (but their food is better) www.rocknes.com

I believe there's a Ruby Tuesday restaurant right across the street from the park, in the shopping complex that is there.

Thank you!! Saved me lots of time- the menu at Rocknes looks great. I will take your advise and check it out. We are there for 2 days so Fast food on the second day will work.

I will let you know How it was when we return on Friday he 9th.

If you go right across the street there is a ruby tuesdays, bob evans, KFC, Subway, and McDonalds.

I perfer Subway if you are just going to leave the park and eat and then go back.

Thank You We Just returned ROCKNES was great- must have had 2 pounds on fries on my plate.

I'll tell ya what, on a search for a place for breakfast we stumbled upon a little restaurant called "Nick and Smittys" right down the block from GL that was AWESOME!! It was more like sitting in someone's house than a restaurant, very clean, the service was awesome (family run) the food was beyond delicious and PLENTY of it, and the prices (although no McD's) was very reasonable! I haven't had a kick butt breakfast like that since my days of hitting up the diners in NY! :)

When we complimented the waitress and told her we would stop in there for breakfast every GL visit she mentioned alot of the big wigs from GL all eat there too. I don't doubt it, it is quite the find! :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

Also across from GL there is an Asian restaurant that has a hibachi menu. I can't recall the name of it (sorry!) but the hibachi menu starts around $20.
