Pizza Delivery

I tried searching for this but couldnt find any current info. Does anyone know if there are any good pizza places that deliver to CP resorts?

I know Dominos delivers but they are terrible.

Thank you.

Dominos has an exclusive at the resorts as they have a location on-site. For anything else, you will need to pick it up yourself.

Thank you very much. Too bad its dominos!

Go to Chet and Matts and bring one back. It's good and not too far, maybe 2 miles. Or 3.

Is the Dominos arrangement new? Chet and Matt's delivered to my room at Breakers Express last fall. Definitely my favorite pizza place near the park.

I think Breakers Express is excluded as it's not on-site like the other resorts. I've heard of other delivery places being turned away at the toll booths.

Exactly. There's no 'cut off' point at Cedar Point's Express at which deliveries can be stopped, unlike on the Point, and now I'm just amusing myself seeing how many times I can include the word 'point'...

My brother might like domino's but in my opinion they're terrible so thanks for the pizza recommendation for next year

They only allow Domino's to be delivered? That is some BS if I have ever heard of some. They use to allow any place in Sandusky to deliver to not only the hotels but the actual gates of the park too. Just to be sure Id still call a pizza place in Sandusky and ask before going with Domino's. There are some really good local places that are far better than anything you'll ever get at a chain.

Why is it BS? It's private property; CedarFair gets to set the rules. If they wants to restrict pizza deliviries to one company that has a relationship with the park, well, they get to do that.

Cedar Point used to allow most of its rides and food operations to be run by franchisees. Times change.

They allowed for years the local businesses in the community to offer pizza delivery to the hotels because the park could not offer food as late as those shops could. Restricting it to a chain instead of a local place is where I think its BS. I understand just fine that they can, doesn't mean I have to agree with the idea. When the park had an exclusive deal with Pizza Hut they still allowed the local shops to deliver. Hell, even Disney allows any food delivery service to come onto their property for their guests.

There's a new sheriff in town, and he's from Disneyland.

I guess I don't get how it's BS. For me, it's new (-ish) management making what they think is a responsible decision.

Then again, if I'm at Cedar Point I'm not going to waste time on delivery pizza from anywhere when I can sit on the Midway and wallow in chili cheese fries. :-)

Disney World is a different beast. With a gazbillion rooms sprawled across miles and miles of property, the number of people ordering delivery is going to amount to a rounding error.

IMHO, my fave pizza place near to the park is Brick Oven Bistro. Gooooood pies and a nice beverage selection.

But, in the park, Big D is the penance for presence.

Your mileage may vary.

Maybe we could discuss the morality of pizza delivery by drone.

Dominos is on-site. Cedar Point manages the franchise. Or are you still upset that the stadium doesn't let you bring in your own beer?

Thank you everyone! I appreciate the responses. .

There are several non-chain pizza shops within a reasonable distance from the park if you are looking to order takeout - Chet and Matts and Brick Over Bistro named above are both good options. A few others that are near the downtown area = Pizza House East, Mama B's, Cameo Pizza, and Mona Pizza. I'm forgetting a few others I'm sure, but these are ALL good options if you don't mind coming off the peninsula to get it. Mama B's also has excellent wings and sandwiches (and is less than two blocks from my house!)

I will second the nomination. Domino's pizza is terrible. I ordered one last year while staying at the Econolodge on Cleveland road. Nothing better than cold pizza with no microwave to warm it up!

I am usually too drunk to drive anywhere so I take cold cuts to eat when I get back to my room.
