I'm just wondering if anyone has any pics of the outside of the beloved and now departed pirate ride. I would love to see that old pirate ship and cannon one more time. Just email me them or tell me where i can find them .
Thanks
Teri

There were pictures of the inside of Pirate Ride a while back but I haven't seen them there recently. Maybe you could email the person-in-charge for info.
what ever possesed them to take that down anyway... and where did it go ... that was such a great ride !!
I heard that there were concerns about vandalism. Apparently, it is an example of a minority of people spoiling a good thing for the majority.

...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!
i sure do miss that ride, and to replace it with a arcade-what were they thinking??i sure would like to see the pirat ride or evan anether dark ride, when they took out pirat,it took some of the charm of the park away and also a ton of memories.
I have only been to the park maybe about 5 times, seeing as how I'm in Texas. My first trip was in '84, I think, and I was only 7 at the time. I have more fond memories of the Pirate Ride from my "young" visits than I do of any other ride. I think me and my dad spent about half a day between the Pirate Ride and Gemini. When they finally put the stick up to me and realized that I was a hair too short, it was back to the Pirate Ride. I love that ride! If I could just ride it one more time, I would die a happy man.
I'll never forget the noise the Pirate Ride makes as it comes through the doors... "OOO WA WA OOOOOO".
It has great memories but as a dark ride, both the Pirate Ride and Earthquake were pretty cheesy compared to Disney rides. This must have been a motivation to get rid of them. Too bad they replaced them with something worse.
