Much has been posted about gatekeeper's intrusion into the parking lot, but I have not seen much regarding the "other end" of the ride once it passes through what is now the entrance plaza. Can anyone give me some information on this? I heard today from an employee that the pavilions will be demolished to make room, and they will not be replaced. Can anyone corroborate this?
Will this effect any of the HalloWeekends attractions?

I was looking closely at those today, especially by the front main gate bathrooms. I'm thinking that the small locker rental area to the right of the main entrance bathrooms will be affected and become part of the new picnic plaza and all of the old part to the far right will be removed. I can't see CP totally getting rid of the stroller rental or picinic plaza altogether, especially since I saw about 20 coolers there today. Yes, ^^ I've heard also about the trimming down also. Also on a side note, I see where they can put the white halloweekends prop tent for the future. It's currently laying perpendicular to the beach, if they turned it parallel to the green merchandise building's backside (facing the beach) and stuck it behind there, it might still be able to stay in that same area.
According to what was said at an ACE tour Sunday they will remove a portion of the picnic areas. The new entrance will be moved about 10 feet toward the parking lot with GateKeeper running above. The ticket booths currently at the front will be removed and replaced with a smaller amount on the right as you come into the entrance area. The season pass building will be redone to accomodate more customers too. The overall effect will be to funnel the crowd towards the entrance where you ticket or pass will be scanned. I do not know what will be done to the restrooms. I didn't think to ask until I was dring home, DUH!
We were told the final design of the new entrance will be similar to the rendering. There will some some special lighting too.
From what I heard yesterday on tour, the bathrooms will stay but the lockers will be removed and picnic areas will be trimmed down and altered
I WILL ALWAYS KICK THE SKY.
I agree, but I hope they do a total rehab. They need to take down those crummy looking points on the roof and redo the indoor waterpark, er I mean indoor restrooms.
They are a mess in so many ways. Bad outdated 60'sarchitecture outside. Biohazard inside.
And you thought Castaway Bay was the only CedarFair indoor waterpark.
There is on next to Magnum also.
Hopefully they at least improve the facade of the bathrooms. That building looks awful.
I agree. I think it's even worse that they're right next to the entrance. Not the best structures to give off first impressions of the park.
It's a shame that CP doesn't have as stunning of an entrance as KI, KD, and Canada's wonderland. Granted the Carousel is nice looking, but it's nothing in comparison to fountains, mountains, and Eiffel towers.
Those Eiffel Towers are worth A TON. I don't know exact but I heard an estimate a couple years ago on how much they're worth, I know it's atleast in the hundred thousands.

KI's entrance is stuck in the 70s. Kinda obvious. But the eiffel tower I don't consider the entrance, but the park's centerpiece.
The girl's bathrooms at CP's entrance is also a waterpark, and full of whining kids and super moms all sliding in it and staring at me when I walk in. I swear when I use the sinks in there, people seriously bathe in the sinks, that's why the bathrooms are so flooded. At least that's what they do in the women's.

^That isn't a lot.
It's most likely more. It was more of a guesstimate. I don't remember the precise number.

You realize they were built in the 70's right? And hundreds of thousands of dollars is nothing compared to the new $31 Million rides that are being built.
