Picnic By the Lake

This season on selected days the park will be offering an all-you-can eat buffet in the new picnic pavilions. The price of $10.95 is a little too high for me, but is sounds like a nice option for food in a park that really lacks a good sit-down.

The buffet includes Hot Dogs, Fried Chicken, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Ice Cream Bars and Soft Drinks.

Ok, now that I've typed that out, it doesn't sound like that high of a price. How much is Midway Market now-a-days?

I think it was $10.95 last year for the lunch buffet which was up from $9.95 the year before. It goes up to like $13.95 for dinner. Going around 2-3 o'clock before they change to dinner prices seems like a smart thing to do. I think it's the best food option in the park, at least for lunch, if you're really hungry.

I think the Picnic by the Lake at GL sounds like a good thing for guests, but are they only doing that because catering sales have been slow?

On second thought... Maybe since it's only from 2-3PM, they will just be getting rid of the leftovers from the catered lunches that take place from say 12-1:30! ;)

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Oh man, I didn't even notice that before about the serving times. You know, you might just be right about that leftover thing.

Where exactly are the new picnic pavillions?
