Picnic area

Has anyone packed a picnic lunch and just left it on one of the picnic tables in the pavilion? We are coming on a bus and I want to bring a lunch due to diet restrictions but I don't think we will have access to bus during the day.

Yes, plenty of people have. That's what the picnic area is for. :)

Make sure it's packed up tight. I watched as birds tore into someones stuff there a few weeks ago.

We have left picnic baskets and coolers on the tables, usually covered with an old table cloth, many times and never have had anything stolen.

We usually bring a cooler with some chips, snacks, and water and Gatorade for a break and just bring a small blanket to cover it up. One year there must have been some smart ass kids (or adults, you never know) that thought it would be fun to switch different coolers to different tables. Well there was a horrible white trash family that assumed that someone stole their food and the mother proceeded to run around and throw every cooler she could find on the ground and smash and trample multiple family's food with her feet and scream like a lunatic. Security was called and I am not sure what happened after that. So I guess that there is a possibility of that happening again?
